Micro/Mini Car World Meet 2021
We are now TWO weeks away from World Meet.
FINAL REGISTRATION IS DUE JUNE 12, 2021
One week from today!
This is just a reminder that Registration for the World Meet closes in about ONE week, on June 12, 2021. Sorry, it is now too late to order Banquet tickets and/or T-Shirts. You can register on-site, but the cost is $10.00 higher. The last day to register for the Microcar 500 Tour is today, June 5th. Registrations for the Microcar 500 Tour should be sent to directly to Jeff Lane.
Once Pre-Registration is closed on June 12th, all of you who have pre-registered will be receiving your “Admission Ticket”. Please bring this with you to help speed your entry into the Museum grounds. If you forget your Ticket, we will have a list of names at the gate but this will slow down the process.
Entry to the Meet begins at 8:00 on Saturday, the show and the doors to the Museum open at 9:00 so you will have time to park your car and get situated.
Preview Event – For those who are coming to Bate’s Alley on Friday night for the Preview Event, the gates will open at 4:30 and close at 6:00. The event lasts until 8:00. There will be live music from 5:30 to 8:00. This should give you plenty of time to look at the cars, as well as, find a place to have dinner and a drink.
We will have signs on the route from the hotels that you can follow to Bate’s Alley. It is about 5 miles from the hotels to Bate’s Alley and should take you less than 15 minutes to get there. You can also use Google Maps on your phone if you get lost. "Bate’s Alley Kalamazoo, MI" is a destination that is listed on Google Maps.
Canopies-Sun Tents – We have talked to the Gilmore about letting people put up a canopy or other sun protective tents on the Meet grounds. They will allow these structures so all as they are weighted down and secured. If the wind is too strong, we may ask you to take them down so that they do not blow into other people’s cars.
Mask or No Masks – Masks will NOT be required if you are outside. If you are vaccinated Masks are not required in the buildings. If you are NOT VACCINATED, masks will be required in the buildings.
Kalamazoo Symphony Performance – We mentioned that there will be a concert performed by the Kalamazoo Symphony on the grounds of the Gilmore following our banquet. The performance is featuring Branford Marsalis, Award Winning Saxophonist. This concert is not part of the World Meet. There is a separate charge of $35.00/person if you want to attend. Tickets are available on site the night of the concert.
Buy/Sell/Trade – Remember to bring anything that you may want to sell or trade. Simply display the items by your car. We will also have a bulletin board near the Registration Tent if you wish to post your items. There will NOT be a separate area for vendors.
Volunteers – I will be contact all of you who have volunteered to help us with various activities during the show. This will include helping with giving car rides, helping at the Registration desk and Kid’s Korner and parking cars. If you would like to help out let me know. I’m not asking for a lot of your time, maybe an hour or so.
Can't wait to see you all there. If there are any questions, please call me at 224-628-1657 or e-mail me at jdgolomb@...
