Re: Disc Brakes

I have used Crosley disc brakes on two H-Mod cars, with no issues.  I use stainless steel brake lines (no rubber hoses), modern bleed fittings, and a power bleeder (cheap, hand pump).  The bleeder hardware consists of a banjo bolt bleeder (3/8-24, to thread into the back of the brake), and a 4AN x3/8 banjo brake adapter (banjo bolt goes through, and 4AN is the size of my stainless steel flex lines).  These are available from Pegasus——and are part numbers 3242-019 and 3265-21, respectively.  You also need their soft copper washers to seal.

Guys, and gals, I have completely rebuilt the disc brakes on my 1950 Hotshot. I cannot get a firm pedal after repeated bleeding. The master cylinder "Burps" a splash up with the first pump. Anybody with experience with this problem.                                           ....................................Jim.
