Re: Motorized Tilt Over Alternative
I agree, great job on the tilt motor drive Dennis.
I was interested in two thing after viewing your photos.
1. How did you lower the tower with the elements of the StepIR

Re: Motorized Tilt Over Alternative
I've been using a Harbor Freight 5000 lb
bumper winch. I have to lug a battery out
to the tower to run it but it still saves
a lot of work. I mounted it to one of the
original tower hand crank base

Motorized Tilt Over Alternative
This is just a suggestion for an alternative way to motorize the tilt over of your tower. At age 70 I recently had to tilt my HDX-572 tower over for some antenna maintenance, using the K-2550 hand

Re: Tri-Ex Disassembly...
It is, even has the tilt over accessory, however the original owner installed it too close to the house to tip. Lol.

Re: Towers cable
That was a problem on the early UIS Towers. They solved it on the HDX towers with an idler pulley mounted about a third of the way down the bottom section.

Re: Tri-Ex Disassembly...
Good tip.
I need to find a way to fully extend this on the ground for inspection / refurbishing and that just might be the solution.
