Scissor lifts should only be used on dead level paved surfaces. They are totally unstable and deadly on soft or sloped surfaces.

Thanks Don. It does to a certain extent. This one I picked up has two cables severely rusted with one going from the winch around the top pulley and then attached and the second attached at the top

I see...I thought maybe it had something to do with the cable spooling up on the drum and they mounted it that way instead of flat on the tower.an over a little for handle clearance....?

The only reason that I can see is why you wouldn't mount it flat on the tower is the clearance from the handle to either the mounting plate or tower cross members. Your knuckles would be getting

Understood....why couldn't you just mount it like they do on the us 438 or the older triex or hy gains....flat and off to the side ?..I know that some the hand crank bracket was welded to the

Its an older design. I installed a K2550 on AA6PW's TX-455 and it worked really well. I had to reverse the drum bolt and shim with washers. Its been going strong for over 10 years.
