Got off early today with a unhappy tummy but felt better after a nap, I decide to brave the traffic to chase the Wood Thrush in Solano County. Mace Blvd at the bridge over Putah Creek.

And, while I am not eager to add “exotics” to the State list, I have never understood why Mute Swan is not on the list when they have successfully bred in many places in California since the 1970s

Yes, Solano County. The Yolo/Solano County line in this area is Mace Blvd, not the creek, so everything west of Mace Blvd all the way west to Brooks Rd west of Hwy 113, is Solano County both sides of

Incredible views 2:25 and again at 3:30 PM with Pat Mahoney. Others going in now at 4:45. At the previously described stakeout on Putah Creek west Of Mace Rd in Solano County (I think).

along with a Northern Waterthrush and Green-tailed Towhee about 3/4 mile west of Mace Blvd along south side of Putah Creek. The Wood Thrush was heard well tonight after sunset at 7:11 and 7:20pm, and

If they tried to charge for use, it’d kill eBird. There are alternatives people would shift to instead (such as iNaturalist). Trying to charge even a minimal fee would be a disaster, IMHO.
