Wed. 9/22 - Rikud Revi'i at Brookline VFW

Amitai Lipton

Hi all, Happy New Year, and Chag Sameach!

We want to thank everyone for taking our Rosh Hashanah poll. We were excited to hear your ideas for the session, and now we’re back with a new schedule! Starting this week, we’ll have early partners from 7.30-8.00pm, and the regular session will start at 8.00. Late partners will be shortened a bit (starting at 10.30pm), giving us MORE TIME for our regular session dances! We also want to thank all of the Community Programmers. We love dancing your sets with you! Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in programming a set in the future. We’re still planning to honor our session’s roots by continuing to include “Way Back Wednesday” dances in our regular programming and teaching repertoire dances, in addition to the new dances we’ve been teaching. We’re always happy to hear from our dancers, so drop us a note if there’s a change you want to see implemented in the session!

This means having been fully vaccinated (receiving a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or first dose of the J & J vaccine at least two weeks prior to dancing). You can either bring your vaccination card or a picture of your card to dancing - we will not record any information from the card, just note that you have received the vaccination. Each dancer will need to sign a waiver as well (extra copies will be available at the session).

Masks required: Per recommendations from CDC and the Town of Brookline, we are requiring the use of masks. If you have any COVID-like symptoms (headache, fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell, etc.) please wait until you have a negative PCR test before dancing with us again. Please note that scarves, mesh fabrics, bandanas, and any other item that does not provide well-fitting full coverage of the mouth and nose is not considered a “mask” under this policy.
