Boston Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing

Hi Dance Family,

The global pandemic put us on pause - like everything else in the world as we knew it - but the Boston Wednesday Night Israeli Dance session can't wait to continue our decades-long tradition of dancing with our amazing community now that it's once again safe to do so. Stay tuned here and on our Facebook group (Boston Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing) for more information on our grand re-opening on Wednesday, July 7 - we've been hard at work finalizing the details!

We wanted to clarify some rumors to avoid any confusion:
- YES, we've always been planning to continue our Wednesday night session post pandemic. In fact, the Stephan F Rutledge VFW in Brookline has been holding onto our deposit since March 2020 and recently informed us they updated their filtration system so that we can safely continue to dance there. We're so excited!
- YES, we were as shocked as you were to learn of a new session slated to begin on Wednesday nights in the fall regardless of whether we're continuing ours. We found out almost a week after we had announced via email and Facebook that we were close to re-opening our session on Wednesday nights. While we're saddened by these efforts to divide our community, we remain committed to running an amazing community-centered program every Wednesday night at the VFW.
- YES, we continue to be committed to working alongside other session leaders, here and around the world, to support the Boston Israeli Folk Dance community, and we will, as always, respond in kind should there be any efforts to work together or engage in open conversation.

Thank you to those of you who have already reached out to us with your support. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Love,
Eliana, Katie, Rina, and Sara

P.S. Also save the date for our annual Christmas Eve Israeli Dance Marathon on Saturday, December 25!
