Wed. 12/18 - Dancing at JCDS starts at 7.30pm w/early partners

** Don't forget, the marathon is next Tuesday 12/24 at KI! (see below for details) ** There is no dancing at JCDS on Wed. 12/25 ** We will announce our schedule for Wed. 1/1 as soon as we can! TL;DR summary: * 12/18 at JCDS; Programming: Sara * $2 donation; 7.30pm early partners set, 8-11pm regular dancing * Teach: Libi (C) Dancing this Wednesday, December 18, 2019, will be in the gymnasium of the Jewish Community Day School (JCDS) in Watertown. Address, directions, and MBTA information are below. Dancing starts at 7.30pm with a 30-minute set of partner dances. Regular dancing begins at 8.00 and goes until 11.00. Sara will be programming. Libi, Yuval Tabashi's 2018 circle dance, will be taught. Bring your requests! There is a $2 suggested donation (cash or check only). All children, college students, and those affiliated with JCDS are free. (We are still working to set up some type of electronic payment option in the future.) ** The Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing session is operated by Greater Boston Israeli Dance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non- profit organization. We are a 100-percent volunteer organization; every penny we receive in admissions & donations is used to keep the session going! Parking is *not* allowed in the small lot at the front door of JCDS. From I-90 (Mass Pike) -- From the Mass Pike in either direction, take Exit 17 and follow signs for Watertown. After about 1/2 a mile, turn left at the traffic signal onto Watertown Street (Route 16 west). Immediately bear right onto California Street, just before the gas station. Turn right at the first traffic signal onto Bridge Street. Go through the next set of lights, and turn left at the stop sign onto Waltham Street. Take the second left onto Stanley Avenue (there's a low sign for JCDS on the left) and immediately turn right into the parking lot. JCDS is the red brick building beyond the parking lot. From Waltham Center -- Head east on Main Street (US-20). After 1.5 miles, turn right onto Edward Road. This is the first street on the right after the Shell gas station and Walgreens pharmacy. At the end of Edward Road, turn right onto Waltham Street, then immediately left onto Stanley Avenue (there's a low sign for JCDS on the left), and immediately right into the parking lot. JCDS is the red brick building beyond the parking lot. Using MBTA public transportation -- Bus Route 70 serves Main Street (US-20) in Watertown. The closest stops to JCDS are at Main St/ Emerson Rd (heading west from Cambridge to Waltham) and Main St/Evans St (heading east from Waltham to Cambridge). (Routes 70A and 558 also serve the area, but they do not operate in the evenings.) Route 70 serves Central Square in Waltham, Watertown Square, Central Square in Cambridge, and University Park near MIT. Red Line connections are available at Central Square in Cambridge. From the bus stop, walk down Edward Road to the end. Turn right on Waltham Street, and immediately turn left onto Stanley Avenue. JCDS is a ten-minute walk from the bus stop.
