Hi all,

Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing continues to be suspended, in
accordance with the Governor's emergency order advising people to
stay at home.

Thank you to everyone whoe has helped support us through our recent
transition to our new home, and we hope to dance with you soon! Keep
checking our Facebook page and this email list for updates on when we
will be resuming our sssion. For now, please stay healthy, stay at
home, and wash your hands. Hope to dance with everyone soon!

The Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing session is operated by Greater
Boston Israeli Dance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit
organization. We are a 100-percent volunteer organization; every
penny we receive in admissions & donations is used to keep the
session going!

be suspended until further notice.

*** Message from Yad Beyad: This Friday 3/20 is the last day to
register at the discounted early rate! Of course, if the coronavirus
situation continues and calls for camp to be cancelled or postponed,

*** IMPORTANT: We understand how much everyone loves to dance and we
LOVE seeing you every week, so we are going to continue the session
for as long as possible. To do this we need everyone's help: If you
are sick (for example, fever, cough, sore throat, or muscle pains) or
have come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with
COVID-19 we are asking that you refrain from joining us. Please be
considerate of your fellow dancers and their friends/families.

Rutledge VFW Post #864 hall in Brookline. Directions are below.

Dancing starts at 7.30pm with a 30-minute set of partner dances.
Regular dancing begins at 8.00 and goes until 11.00. Jay will be
programming. Rakadnu Kol Halayla, Yaron Alfassy's partner dance
from last year, will be reviewed. Bring your requests!

There is a $5 admission fee (cash or check only) to cover room rental
expenses. The student admission price is $3.

Dancing this Wednesday, February 12, 2020, will be in the Stephan F
Rutledge VFW Post #864 hall in Brookline. Directions are below.

Dancing starts at 7.30pm with a 30-minute set of partner dances.
Regular dancing begins at 8.00 and goes until 11.00. Eliana will be
programming. Shneinu, Michael Barzelai's partner dance, will be
reviewed. Bring your requests!

There is a $5 admission fee (cash or check only) to cover room rental
expenses. The student admission price is $3.

The Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing session is operated by Greater
Boston Israeli Dance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit
organization. We are a 100-percent volunteer organization; every
penny we receive in admissions & donations is used to keep the
session going!

Dancing this Wednesday, January 8, 2020, will be in the gymnasium of
the Jewish Community Day School (JCDS) in Watertown. Address,
directions, and MBTA information are below.

Dancing starts at 7.30pm with a 30-minute set of partner dances.
Regular dancing begins at 8.00 and goes until 11.00. Eliana will be
programming. Kum Kum will be taught. Bring your requests!

There is a $2 suggested donation (cash or check only). All children,
college students, and those affiliated with JCDS are free. (We are
still working to set up some type of electronic payment option in the
future.)

The Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing session is operated by Greater
Boston Israeli Dance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit
organization. We are a 100-percent volunteer organization; every
penny we receive in admissions & donations is used to keep the

miles, turn right onto Edward Road. This is the first street on the
right after the Shell gas station and Walgreens pharmacy. At the end
of Edward Road, turn right onto Waltham Street, then immediately left
onto Stanley Avenue (there's a low sign for JCDS on the left), and
immediately right into the parking lot. JCDS is the red brick building
beyond the parking lot.

Using MBTA public transportation -- Bus Route 70 serves Main Street
(US-20) in Watertown. The closest stops to JCDS are at Main St/
Emerson Rd (heading west from Cambridge to Waltham) and Main St/Evans
St (heading east from Waltham to Cambridge). (Route 558 also serves
the area, but does not operate in the evenings.)

Route 70 serves Central Square in Waltham, Watertown Square, Central
Square in Cambridge, and University Park near MIT. Red Line
connections are possible at Central Square in Cambridge.

From the bus stop, walk down Edward Road to the end. Turn right on
Waltham Street, and immediately turn left onto Stanley Avenue. JCDS
is a ten-minute walk from the bus stop.

** MARATHON IS TONIGHT !!! **

The 40th Annual Israeli Dancing Marathon will be held at Congregation
Kehillath Israel in Brookline tonight, Tuesday, December 24, 2019.

** New admission prices/policies **
(Some earlier emails/flyers/posts had incorrect information; we
apologize for any confusion!)

- NEW: No pre-registration required!
- NEW: $5 general admission discount before 6.20pm
- Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a senior discount this year.
- Kids under 13 -- still free!
- Teens 13-17 and students with ID -- still $10!
- All others -- $20

As the synagogue facilities are kept kosher, we request that
non-kosher outside food not be brought into the building.

We will be in the Social Hall on the second floor of KI. Enter the
building through the door farthest to the right on the front of the
building, that's a few steps down from the sidewalk, opposite Beals
St. After paying admission, you can go to the second floor using
stairs on your left, or an elevator to your right. Address and
directions are available below.

We ask that you use only the main entrance on Harvard St. Please do
not use the rear entrance near the parking lot. Thanks!!

** There won't be dancing at JCDS on Wed. 12/25, but we'll be back
on New Year's Day 1/1/2020!!

Wed. 12/18 - Dancing at JCDS starts at 7.30pm w/early partners

** Don't forget, the marathon is next Tuesday 12/24 at KI! (see below

** There is no dancing at JCDS on Wed. 12/25
** We will announce our schedule for Wed. 1/1 as soon as we can!

TL;DR summary:

Dancing this Wednesday, December 18, 2019, will be in the gymnasium of
the Jewish Community Day School (JCDS) in Watertown. Address,
directions, and MBTA information are below.

Dancing starts at 7.30pm with a 30-minute set of partner dances.
Regular dancing begins at 8.00 and goes until 11.00. Sara will be
programming. Libi, Yuval Tabashi's 2018 circle dance, will be taught.
Bring your requests!

There is a $2 suggested donation (cash or check only). All children,
college students, and those affiliated with JCDS are free. (We are
still working to set up some type of electronic payment option in the
future.)

** The Wednesday Night Israeli Dancing session is operated by
Greater Boston Israeli Dance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-
profit organization. We are a 100-percent volunteer organization;
every penny we receive in admissions & donations is used to keep the
session going!

Note: If you are driving, please park in the "Family & Friends Parking
Lot." Parking is *not* allowed in the small lot at the front door of
JCDS.

From I-90 (Mass Pike) -- From the Mass Pike in either direction, take
Exit 17 and follow signs for Watertown. After about 1/2 a mile, turn
left at the traffic signal onto Watertown Street (Route 16 west).
Immediately bear right onto California Street, just before the gas
station. Turn right at the first traffic signal onto Bridge Street.
Go through the next set of lights, and turn left at the stop sign onto
Waltham Street. Take the second left onto Stanley Avenue (there's a
low sign for JCDS on the left) and immediately turn right into the
parking lot. JCDS is the red brick building beyond the parking lot.

From Waltham Center -- Head east on Main Street (US-20). After 1.5
miles, turn right onto Edward Road. This is the first street on the
right after the Shell gas station and Walgreens pharmacy. At the end
of Edward Road, turn right onto Waltham Street, then immediately left
onto Stanley Avenue (there's a low sign for JCDS on the left), and
immediately right into the parking lot. JCDS is the red brick building
beyond the parking lot.

Using MBTA public transportation -- Bus Route 70 serves Main Street
(US-20) in Watertown. The closest stops to JCDS are at Main St/
Emerson Rd (heading west from Cambridge to Waltham) and Main St/Evans
St (heading east from Waltham to Cambridge). (Routes 70A and 558 also
serve the area, but they do not operate in the evenings.)

Route 70 serves Central Square in Waltham, Watertown Square, Central
Square in Cambridge, and University Park near MIT. Red Line
connections are available at Central Square in Cambridge.

From the bus stop, walk down Edward Road to the end. Turn right on
Waltham Street, and immediately turn left onto Stanley Avenue. JCDS
is a ten-minute walk from the bus stop.
