I would like to try out a new B.O.S. (Bird Observation Ststem) piece of equipment tonight but the forecast is dismal. I'll make an offi

So far, so good with Saturday night's forecast. We will have an open to the public astronomical observing session starting sunset.

I plan to get there an hour before sunset- if I can get the time right.

Visitors without equipment please park in the main parking lots and walk over- you'll see us.

If you have equipment drive on the dirt road in the back right hand corner of the parking lot with the bathroom.

I'll make a GO/NO GO call Saturday at around 3pm- here.

Yes Eric. The forecast is breath taking. I'll check with Brad and report back here if it is a go.

Thank you Brad and the rangers at YRSP for letting Eric and myself use their park Monday night. The sky was as transparent as I have ever seen it. We showed up around 7 and observed till around midnight.

BTW The new BOS worked very well. Maybe a few adjustments-and I was dozing off under Mr Auriga by 10pm.
