Venus should be a beautiful sight in the western sky at Christmas. Now that it is 10° east of the sun I set up my TMB100 and looked at it. It’s the first time this year I’ve seen Venus. It’s nearly “full” phase.
Sighting little Mercury proved to be more challenging but I suddenly saw a little white dot that was Mercury.
i tried spotting Vega in the day but it was too high in the sky for me to easily access with the alt-azimuth telescope mount.
