Kappa Leonis goes down in defeat tonight.

We will meet you at the Omni in the cage!EmojiEmojiEmoji

Update: Kappa Leonis went down tonight in defeat! We both saw the secondary in Kent's 6 inch using a fifty year old eyepiece in very good seeing conditions. This is about the only double that I can recall that took three separate tries to confirm. Usually it is either yes or no but tonight we feel pretty strongly we did it. We thought we might have seen it the other night but tonight, yup we did.

It does not surprise me it took a old style orthoscopic eyepiece to be able to see the split. Those eyepieces may be "obsolete" in some folks opinion but they have never been equaled for dead on center sharpness when you need the ultimate resolution.

Well, congratulations!

Paraphrasing Murphy's 2nd Law of Combat: 'If it's obsolete but it still works, then it's not obsolete.'

Bravo Zulu on spotting the split!

"Keep looking up!"
