Portable generator

Should work. Go look at the lable on the microwave it should tell you it's wattage right there. Most residental are 1000 - 1600 watts. Same for the hair dryer, should have a wattage rating on it somewhere, most are 1500 - 1800 watts. 2K gennie can cover both if nothing else is plugged in.

Mine puts out 13.3 amps. The newer ones may do more. Check your microwave to see what it draws... hair dryer too Stu

Thanks Everyone, ah, Connie said she wants the microwave and her hair drier { on low not at same time} and I want my coffee maker. Will a 2000w do that? Should I go for the 2400w?

From 2200w to 2800 for my camper. Not worrying about a/c or microwave.
My whole camper is 12v so just need to keep batteries charged and run the 12v refrigerator. Of course the Honda is always a choice but expensive, any other
thoughts out there? other brands? or anyone have one for sale?.

Ok Dale...I have the Honda 2000. It cost a grand but worth every cent. My is one year newer than Chuck's and still going strong. I use it to run my 8000 btu AC in the camper and the 700 watt microwave (no at same time) as well as 3 battery chargers. Go for it! Stu Beaber

I agree. After 20 years in the field, I say the Honda is the bomb. And It's quiet.

You get what you pay for - yes the Hondas are expensive, but they are light, reliable, and VERY QUIET. I wouldn't skimp there. Jim

When my wife and I got the sailboat we purchased this one https://westinghouse.com/products/wh2200ixlt-inverter-generator and we have nothing but good things to say about it. 46db and it ran everything on our 12v sailboat great.

Dale,
My Honda 2000 has been in service three-four times a year, since 2007 or 2008. Still running strong, used it for a week at the Rocky Mountain Star Stare last summer charging batteries for people and running the camper.
