Talked to 300+ people at first landing event. Solar viewing showed two small sunspots which most adults and some of the older children could see at about 52x magnification. Passed out all the eclipse fliers and 96% of the other material George provided. Stressed solar viewing safety with every visitor young or old. Had 3-4 potential new members go to the website while there and 10-12 other people ask about the club and the website address. About 25 people asked for information on local planetariums. A great event that would have been better with more than just one individual and a second large “BBAA” banner for the table.
