Dark sky site

George Reynolds

My wife's quilting buddy Millie and her husband have a place on the Eastern Shore and have invited us to go there with telescopes to see the dark sky.  Linda and I plan to take a "mini-vacation" next week to go there for a few days.

I'm excited.

That is great, George. How far north of the tunnel?

For a while we went to a place we found in Machapongo which was as good as it gets. Of course small light dome over Va Bch. That's where I did most of my Messier.

Best wishes to you and Linda.

Bill,

It's about 11 miles north of the CBBT north shore.

Maybe we could have an event there some time.  I'm going to check it out, and coordinate with the owner about any future activity there.

Thanks George, looks like around the lat. of Cape Charles? I like how you have set up your "mini vacation" around the new moon. Clever George.
