Got this Ha image of Sharpless 263 the other night. I was going to try and get some color in last night but the skies didn't co-operate. There is a nice reflection nebula Vdb38 close by. I hope everyone has a great holiday and a Happy New Year.

Cheers

No Crayfish but  yup, big spiders, make that really big spiders, and they might be quite tasty, I don’t know (nor want to know); it’s against my religion to eat any crustacean that can live in the desert and eat mice.

My burger was a bit overcooked, but it was good none the less.  My wife loved her seafood and said it was very good, I hope your meals fared well.

Again, thanks for coming!

Yes, Chuck, I counted 30 as well.  My wife's "cedar salmon" was delicious, as was my "Shirmp Alfredo".  (That's the way it was misspelled on the menu, "shirmp".)  :-)

Personally, I think a combination of this suggestion, and the one for door prizes at meetings is the best way to go. Simply going the "dump it" route because it's outdated is a waste. So things may be a little outdated, but they could still spark interest in astronomy in someone.

Dino.

What no BetaMax, video discs or 8 track tapes.

If any of the VHS tapes are worth converting, I still have the equipment and would be willing to help convert.  The books and CD’s if they are really dated, your call.  Mine would to offer them to club members and the try donating them to a library, before disposing of them.

I have several boxes full of the BBAA's mostly dated books, VHS tapes, and 90s era CD-ROMs.
We should decide what to do with our library. Otherwise they'll just take up space. Should we sell them? Give them away?
No point in shoving them from one person's house to another every few years if we're not going to ever use them.
Taking comments/suggestions. :)

Leigh Anne,

We could offer the books for sale at the next meeting or two, or six, and any we don't sell, give away.  Any good books that don't sell can be raffled off as door prizes at the meetings and Garden Stars.

I have a machine that may be able to put those VHS tapes on DVDs, if they are any good.  Then we could give them away/raffle them off.
