Follow up on the lunar observation last night

I noted the very bright central peaks of Longrenus last night and have tried to follow up on the reason. Not a whole lot of luck but I believe the very bright patches were real and not due to solely lighting effects. It is either very young material of very reflective minerals (anorthosite). Here is a good example from recent LRO photographs. The detail is astounding. Note the differences in albedo.
