I agree with Jim, Google Sky is free and is improving. SkySafari is my favorite, comes in 3 pay flavors, is NOT upgradable from one version to the next (is it’s only drawback “my opinion”). There is almost nothing you can see that you can’t find in SkySafari Pro. Read the reviews, see what version meets your needs. SkySafari (plus and Pro) will even control most goto scopes and assists using the pushto orion Intelliscope.

What is the best app to get for that night sky thing you hold up and I'd's the stars. Want the red light thing for night also? Just moved up to the 4g thing with smart phone ( android sys) and need toys........ Dale Carey
