Re: Butts Road Primary School

Last night at the Butts Road school, I had my 10" Dob and Courtney set up her 8" Dob and a 60mm Refractor. We had a good view of the Orion Nebula for a while, til it hazed over, and kept one scope on Jupiter & his moons and the refractor on our Moon. We looked at Venus until she disappeared behind the school.
We had a couple of hundred moms, dads, and students admiring the sights until well after the 8pm nominal end time of the event.

I'm interested but I barely have enough experience with my scope. What kinds of things do you tend to view at these things?
