The MAX7410 can also be used as a notch filter. I usually need one of these about as often as I do a peak filter. I am going to order a couple and experiment. They are about $6 each at Digikey. https:

Last year I fed my BitX40 into a homebrew grounded grid sweep tube amp.(which I think is more boat-anchorish than Collins, no offence.) This amp has spent nearly 20 years sitting in a shed in Hawaii,

Woody, you got me thinking maybe it was just voltage, so i pulled out my adjustable bench supply and when I hooked it up at 12 V there was a slight oscillation. I stuck a 1000 MF cap crudely across th

Well that makes more sense. How do you make a 25 kHz wide LC filter at VHF? You don't. I optimistically misread. Thanks Lawrence. As Roseanne Rosannadanna used to say..."nevermind."

You could use one of these inexpensive ($5 ebay) Texscan LC filters for a 70 MHz IF and it might go well. These are 25 kHz wide at the 1 dB points and I have not seen a curve but the data sheet says "

I don't think anyone has mentioned the nanoVNA. These go from 50 kHz up to 900 MHz, color touch screen, built with rechargable battery and PC sw. They cost less than 70 USD. Look at https://groups.io/
