ubitx for sale
I finally finished my bitx40 and realized that with a small city lot and small compromise antennas, QRP is not for me. So I am selling my ubitx kit. It is unused and the box was only opened to verify

gluing toroids to board
So while I was handling my board the other night, I lost my grip and knocked my hand into one of the toroids. It came unglued from the board, but the wiring remained intact. I was thinking of using ho

Standoffs for mounting the board
By bolts, do you mean screws from the bottom up through the enclosure and into the standoffs?

Standoffs for mounting the board
Excellent! They have a M3 0.5 tap! Is 0.5 a standard thread spacing? I see a lot of M3 standoff kits on amazon, and none seem to specify thread spacing. Also, would taping the enclosure be preferable

Standoffs for mounting the board
I bought a thick walled aluminum enclosure for my bitx. Rather than drill holes in the bottom of the enclosure and have the standoffs be secured by a nut or screw from the bottom, I am thinking of tap

Quality speaker mic with minimal modding
Thanks for the reply Phil. So you tried both the mike as is and with the bitx supplied mic element? And you saw no difference between the two? Was the wiring of the jack to the bitx40 straight forward

Quality speaker mic with minimal modding
Does anyone know of a decent quality speaker mic that does not require a lot of modification to use? I would like something that is a step or two up from the baofang mics. I want my radio to sound goo

Handheld Mic w/ PTT for BITX40
Have you gotten this to work? I am curious to how it was wired up to the board. I wasn't able to get my similar speaker mic to work due to a common ground.

Handheld Mic w/ PTT for BITX40
I cut off the end of my baofeng speaker mic off and got 4 wires. Does anyone have any ideas how I could connect this to the radio? The radio needs 2 leads for PTT, 2 for speaker, and 2 for the mic.

adjusting the contrast on the LCD
I had to replace the LCD that came with the radio. The new LCD has its contrast set too high. Does anyone know how to change this? Is it the blue and white pot next to the arduino?

enclosure suggestions
However, I did find isolation supplies for the IRF510, so I was able to mount it to the metal housing of the case with a little heat sink compound.

enclosure suggestions
So I ended gutting an old PC PSU and building an enclosure with it. I have to be honest, it wasn't worth the effort. The aluminum was thick and difficult to drill through and I could not get the knobs
