ubitx consensus for 2n3904 smt replacement
Hi All, What is the consensus for a SMT replacement for the 2n3904? I note the MMBT10 only has Vceo of 25 vs 40 for the 2n3n04. I really do not want to tack leaded parts onto the board. My latest ubit

uBITX Firmware CEC Version 1.08 S meter, etc
Ivo, if you go to https://ubitx.net/manual-kd8cec-firmware/ and download the manual for firmware 1.072, all of that is explained. I believe you must use a 4 line display to get the S meter; see http:/

W8TEE source code
Jack, the ambiguous "it" was the teensy that runs the filters and mic processing code in the uBITX. I am imagining leaving the Nano in there for basic ops, and using the Teensy for augmented features.

Hi Jack, For my uBITX: I have not been following the threads closely: is your software GPL open source? I would like to just implement the rx filters. I would also like to implement a mic high pass fi

Socketing a Nano to the other side of the Raduino
Allison and all, with the KD8CEC firmware you can opt for a I2C display connection; the display can be remote quite some distance with just 2 wires (plus power and ground). Rod KM6SN

Should we adopt the KD8CEC firmware?
William, In some countries, I believe especially the British Isles, it is illegal to own (that is OWN, not simply OPERATE) a ham radio rig that can transmit outside of the ham bands. Rod KM6SN

p.s to testing wsjtx on linux
Farhan, You can install the KD8CEC firmware on a spare Nano. A free-standing Nano will run the KD8CEC firmware so that CAT works; the Nano does not have to be connected to anything other than the USB

testing wsjtx on linux
Farhan, I believe somehow you have an older copy of hamlib. IIRC you must have the hamlib associated with wsjtx 1.9 or later. Here's what works at my QTH, running ubuntu 16.04.4 64 bit go to https://p

adding to base load software
Tim, I am a little confused by your post titled Re: [BITX20] Should we adopt the KD8CEC firmware? You mention a feature you may want to implement. To me, whether the 'base load' is hfsignals firmware,

Jerry, I started writing C in 1974,owned K&R, programmed professionally until mid 90s, have written and read tons of C, and actually saw Vince's line as concise and clear, and still enjoyed the humor.
