!!!!!! It's alive !!!! It was a burned trace. I traced the voltage and saw 13.7 at L8 and 7-9 at T7. I soldered a jumper on the back of the board from L8 to T7 pin 6 and now I have 13.7 volts at the D

Thanks for the response but I think that the problem is that the computer doesn't find a driver. There is nothing to uninstall. USB2.0-serial shows up under "other devices" and device status says no d

Jack Last response was before I saw yours. When I run dpinst-amd64.exe the Wizard starts and I let it run. After rebooting nothing has changed, USB2.0-serial shows up under "other devices" and device

Three USB ports. One has a mouse in it. It's a laptop so the keyboard is built in. As mentioned it the original post, when I plug my Arduino Uno in I get a serial port and can compile and upload to it

Birdie at 7199 - a surprising observation!
data point: increasing the drive level to 4 ma caused a much louder birdie in my BITX40, so the drive level has some effect. Bob

I had a tough time calibrating my BITX40V3 when speaking into a mike connected to a commercial transceiver transmitting into a dummy load and listening on the BITX. I finally hit on a method that work

Fernando - Nice that you recognized the Mosley. They are pretty rare. I was lucky enough to have one like that in the mid 60s as my first real ham receiver. Simon - There is a standard mica insulator
