For what it's worth, Brian, L11 through 22 are low-pass filters and there are a number of ways to do the job. You could use filters from your favorite source or project - from the WA2EBY linear to QRP

This crystal set has a 48 Hz span. I gathered the correct data from them, modeled the filter in the G3UUR tab of DISHAL, then tweaked the DISHAL numbers for the capacitors I used in order to get the i

Greets jean-Matthieu, You might find this to be useful. It's the W7ZOI piece Ashhar credits for the µBITX filter: file:///D:/SSB%20Radio%20Files/W7ZOI_Low-Pass_filter_lpf-expts.html Best, Andy

Hi John, I appreciate your comments. I agree that the first option isn't going to fly. I saw the changes in the noise floor but at this point in my 'crystal kindergarten' I don't grok the significance

GPS for time and Maidenhead for port ops
The QRP-Labs Ultimate3S has that capability (GPS integration, Maidenhead, time, freq) and it's got an Arduino in there. It's at least possible.

#Ubitx RX only version for general coverage

You'd only need one of the amplifiers in each bi-directional pair. My take (I'm also working on an RX build) is that since everything has 50Ω in/out, we can think in 'module' terms. Here's a look at t

The IDE is fine, I think. When I'm on a Windows box, I edit in Notepad++, use Examdiff when it's useful, the paste the code into the IDE. The IDE helps get more people using the tech - that's a good t

Thanks again, sir. These filters are curious beasties. I'm having too much fun playing with them. DISHAL predicted a 100Ω impedance for my second build (100pF caps). I ran the numbers for an LC match

Looking for NOS or Pull with good leads 130 Ohm 3w
I hear ya. This from the reissued EMRFD, page 7.10: There's a table below that paragraph the summarizes resistors tested with an HP-8714 network analyzer. The two resistors with the lowest inductance

Looking for NOS or Pull with good leads 130 Ohm 3w
David, I used a metal oxide to make the pad when I built my WA2EBY linear earlier in the year and I have six extra. They're Mouser 281-130-RC. If that'll work for you, let me know where to send a pair

Apology in advance if dumb question - How do I know my order has been captured?
Also Nigel, the first batch of µBITX sold out in a couple of days. They went to 'preorder' status on the 11th or 12th, I believe. So your order on the 16th will be in the same batch I'm in - the ones

Thanks Ashhar. I'm enjoying the learning. :) I have read W7ZIO's paper a couple of times and am understanding more of it now that I'm melting solder and getting more comfortable with DISHAL. Frankly,
