McRuss -- fantastic idea!!!! I saw the 17 foot telescoping stainless steel MFJ whip at the Orlando hamfest and that looks VERY interesting, and of course the venerable HAM STICKS are also quite long.

As I'm confined (not quarantined) to a condo unit, I thought a mag loop would be my answer. Maybe it was the one I bought and maybe it was defective but I could never get the SWRs down low enough to u

Please check out magnetic loop antennas they are an excellent fit for use with our radios. You can use them indoors at ground level and they are directional so you can pull out a noise source.

My landlord had a fit with us installing a 20 meter half wavelength dipole. There is no way a 160 meter dipole is going in here. We can laugh all we want but I’m sick with a virus, got an antenna inst

I guess he means the walkway is not long enough for a 160 meter antenna. Although I have a fairly large plot of land, I had to bend one end of the 160 part of my dipole. And, using what is either #14

My first 160M antenna was at a height of one inch (25.4mm)! It was the K3MT grasswire laid out in the back yard , no way to support it in the air at that time as a 250Ft dipole is 100Ft longer that pr

The walkway isn’t long enough. We did a good job of hiding the dipole and you won’t be able to see where the coax enters soon. I just want to get on 20 and maybe 40.
