Maximum safe input voltage to ubitx?

Paul Schumacher

What is the maximum safe input voltage to ubitx?  I have
Lithion ion batteries that charge up to 4.2 volt at most, and
I hoped to put four in a pack which could max out at 16.8 volts
and the pack is good for about 2300 maH.

thanks,

Paul K0ZYV

Yes the RD15HVF1 part is my “go to” low power part because it’s so easy to design around and it behaves very well.

Hi!

Over years I have used Pennywhistle PA from HPSDR with great success. The RD15's work extremely well upto 6 mtrs maybe we can try this configuration with uBITX.

Hi!

I have a new appreciation for the ladies that actually assemble these radios.

I had the rare opportunity of meeting Uma and watch her in action adjusting uBITX during my recent visit to Hyderabad to attend Farhan's club annual meet.

Hi!

For high power RF work I would be more concerned with the Tan Theta or the dissipation factor of the capacitor.

Yup, a clean miss
Was a thread early last June on pin headers and cable connectors  for the Bitx/uBitx:
    https://groups.io/g/BITX20/topic/5162271

This link from that thread looks about right:
    https://www.taydaelectronics.com/connectors-sockets/wafer-housing-crimp-terminal/serie-2500-2-54mm.html
Though Mike preferred Mouser 538-08-50-0114  pins as they come already cut apart,
others sources give you a strip that must be cleanly sheared, meant for automatic machines.

As stated in the thread, you might want a crimping tool also, or might prefer
crimping with a pliers and soldering.

I have always felt "Deprecated"!

And I am sure not "Polymorphic"!

Since it's only a warning, that's not your real problem.

I think I know the problem with the Si5351 library. Your error shows:

The library subdirectory MUST match the name of the header file. In your case, the library subdirectory you are using is Si5351Arduino-master but the header file is si5351.h. Try renaming your subdirectory from what you have to:

The contents of the subdirectory should remain as it is...only change the subdirectory name.

Let us know if that works.

I've used both. The OLED is from an upcoming QST article on a dummy load/wattmeter.

I have a yellow version of the 4x20 I2C on my uBit.  They have jumper addresses to get it's address away from the SI Generator on Raduio.  Sometimes they are even cheaper with the I2C adapter than a parallel one?

I see some guys on here with the .96 OLED on there radios.   You can even get a Yellow First Line!

Adafruit has Libraries.
