This item and the replies are very interesting.  My experience with most kits is that I get extra parts, especially nuts and bolts.  They go to my junque box.  Also if your children or grand children ever tire of their broken toys (especially those that contain electronics) take them apart and keep the pieces, nuts, bolts, washers, etc.  it’s surprising how many metric parts I have collected over the years this way.

Hi Sudanthiram,

I don't think he is asking for proof.  He wants a picture of the packing list (which probably has check marks for all the items) and so he can find the name of the person who packed it.  Maybe the employee was not feeling well or is confused about some items to pack?  I think the ubix manager just wants to check how the mistake happened.

Sir, I can not accept .If one item is being sent to abroad,it must be double checked. Any ham will not  say ,the screw and net is missing. If happened like this  the seller should resend the missing parts or refund the money for particular item.  If it happen like this ALIEXPRESS.COM ,REFUND ,part amount.
Thank you

I finally got mine today after waiting for it to get back in stock. Seemed like a nice solution with a sound card, transformer isolation, and the USB isolation. Well, it doesnt work great at all! So much noise! I tried it on multiple computer with multiple USB cables and no DICE. So I removed it from the uBitx and its just as noisy! Any ideas whats going on? Check out the video:

Dear,
Ubitx V6 ,they are spend 200$.The cost of the bolt and net will be below  For1$.Even $1, nobody tell lie.
They are asking the prof for missing screws and net?. Is it correct?
This is Indian standard
The seller should be double check, before shippment. If it is done no mistake will be there.

Dave,

I'm glad to see another nubee here, having just joined over the weekend.

I assembled my V6 last Friday night and am having a great time with it. I didn't see if you have one, one on order or just haven't built yours up.

I have 15 station/bands worked (PA, OH, AL, & ON) on my 80/40 Meter fan dipole and 10 Meter verticals from here in Eastern PA. I'm a working man so I only get a couple of hours to operate, in the evenings.

It's a REAL radio, don't be fooled!

The group here is welcoming, knows the rigs and has been helpful.

If it helps, I found a matching serial cable at Harbor Freight with a USB connector, it's part of one of their cell charger kits. I haven't verified that it is compatible.

David,
Welcome to the community

First off, the correct term for the rig is micro BiTx which most of us shorten to uBitx (the u is in stead of the Greek Mu for micro.  The Bi is for Bidirectional and the TX is for Transceiver.   It is a design technique that has been open source for over a decade.

As to your question of cable, the stock v6 uBitx comes with and Arduino Nano clone that has a microUSB connector for communication with a host or PC device.  Any full connection (data and power) cable will work as long as the end connected to the uBitx is a microUSB (note: most phones today use either a "lightning" connector, USB-C, or miniUSB.  This means  you will need to look for the cable on Amazon or eBay.  The mciro is larger than the mini for reference.

I am not aware of a cable or connection that has been made with either an iPhone or iPad.  There are applications and cables for PC, Apple computers, and Raspberry PI or clones.

The possible apps include most of the digital mode programs like the WSJT and Fldigi for interfaces.  You will need the audio cables or interfaces to link you computer to the audio on the uBitx.  There has been success with just adapter cables without interfaces, though the interface kits will provide better level and impedance matching.

I would suggest you check out the ubitx.net web sight, as well as browse the messages, files and wiki on this site.

Good luck and again, Welcome.

If you have a wide filter AM position on your regular rig you could even feed the static from an open frequency into the mic and see what happens.

Is this a V6? If so I think a CW carrier replaces the BFO during transmit while in the CW TX mode, provided I read the circuit and theory of operations correctly.

I agree with the technique, in fact an antenna noise bridge might be just the thing. I don't know if Reed's setup has the dynamic range for just an antenna connection. Reed?

Thank-you for the explanation.  I should have gone back to look at the code to verify what I had said.
