I have decided to sell y BITX40. It is all assembled in an aluminum case (10"x10"x3.5") with lots of space to add new add-on projects you may decide to do related to the radio. The pictures follow. I am asking US$75 + shipping for the whole thing (power module included). If you are interested please let me know. (ve9pct@...)

Hello! I was surprised these days to see that Bitx40 is no longer available for sale. I was almost crying... I had a very good experience with uBitx in past and Bitx40 supose to be my new project for New Year. I do admit that uBitx is overwhelming me. I like Bitx40 much more because of the simplicity of the board. My level of understanding electronics is minimal but somehow I feel like Bitx40 is something I can fully understand if I try hard enough. Is there ANY chances to find one in this community? I do appreciate all the answers, guys! YO8UFO.

Re: ubitx BFO Calibration issue

Well, it did work :)
I've made a factory reset and starting from a 'clean' setting I've been able to make a decent BFO cal and the Volmet lady's voice came out pleasant and understandable. So were a few hams I could tune on 80 and 40m.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Raffaello, sorry about the name mix-up before.

The only way I could get my bfo settings to stick was to do the calibration and bfo settings one after the other at the same time. Then when complete turn radio off and back on.
I tuned into a local QSO and set both calibration and bfo so QSO sounded normal. Easy and worked for me, hope this helps.

Hi, thanks everybody to begin with, since this group is a source of information and inspiration for my adventures with the little ubitx. Now, I suspect this is a vexata quaestio but as hard as I've searched I haven't found the answer.

I'm trying to calibrate the bfo on my v5.1 with stock firmware. When I find a setting I like I press the knob and the display reads "carrier set". But  the setting was not actually saved, if I re-enter the BFO setting menu I find the original value (and I can hear that the BFO frequency is the old one). What's the correct procedure to save my value?

Thanks and 73,

I'm no expert on international shipping, but would be curious if the rate is just as high to neighboring countries. If not, if maybe it has something to do with specific shipping to Ireland, possibly a friend/acquaintance in a "lower shipping cost" country could help you out.

My guess is, its expensive to all of Europe, but should be easy to confirm.

That’s impressive

I can’t ship a circuitboard like that across the street here in Toronto for anyone near that price.

There is also a difference depending on your business model and if you want to make a few dollars or you are giving back to the amateur community and money is not important.

Hi Michael...
I do ship items worldwide already. I ship 100mm x 100mm PCBs anywhere in the world for €2.50
I can ship a package of <=500g (1lb) which I would imagine is a good bit more than this item, for as little as €9, and €17 for fully tracked, priority, fully insured signed-for delivery. The cost for 250g is about €3 cheaper.
