I ordered mine on Jan 27 via India Post. I received order confirmation email on Feb 1. The confirmation email does not indicate ship date, only that they are doing their best and orders will ship in order received.

Cheers,

CW Autokey Mode is just builtin Memory Keyers.
uBITX Manager will save the text and use it. Be sure to set Key type to IAMBC before executing Auto Key.
I'm sorry I can not post the explanation on it yet.

The following image is a test image of uBITX Manager running on Linux. Auto Key Mode was also used.

Thanks for your interresting

Ordered mine on December 18th. Got notification of shipping DHL on February 7th and it's due to be arriving today the 9th.

Dave,
Having built a couple fo the Bitx 40's.  Always a good practice to establish a baseline.
Get them running as a stock rig....then
Incrementally add modifications (one at a time) and then test the rig through all the baseline functions and the new function that your mod added..
once convinced that it works with no hork-ups, hiccups, or wiring errors then move on to the next mod.
Document all your changes in case you have to back stuff out.

BITX QSO Afternoon/Night, Sunday, February 11, 3PM/7PM Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere

John P

BITX QSO Afternoon/Evening, Sunday, February 11, 3PM & 7PM Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere.

Join us as we make contacts from BITX40 to BITX40 on 7.277 MHz in 40 meters!

This is a worldwide event for BITX40 stations starting at 7pm in each time zone. To participate, call CQ BITX on Sunday, starting at 3PM and/or 7PM your local time. The BITX QSO Night continues through the evening and conditions usually improve after sunset, so it is worthwhile to participate later in the evening.

Suggested Best Operating Practices:

Work at QRP power levels unless conditions require more power.
Call and listen for CQ BITX on the hour and every quarter hour.
It is helpful if you call CQ BITX with your callsign, name and location.
Repeat your callsign a number of times during your CQ BITX and during QSO's.
Start a QSO by confirming the callsign, location, name and signal report of the other operator.
Say the callsign, name and location of the other operator so others can hear.
If the frequency is busy, avoid long conversations.
After your initial QSO is complete, ask if there are any other stations who would like to contact.

Report your QSO's, discuss propagation, noise, signal reports, audio reports, antenna type, etc. in this thread.

This is an undirected, scheduled event.  The BITX QSO Night relies on you to call CQ BITX to initiate contacts with other stations, so warm up that final and transmit a few calls on Sunday evening.  Talk to you then!

Re: I am new at this

Dave,

Just like Sharma said.. wire up the board on the table and make sure everything works and if you want features or fix
bugs then upgrade the firmware and make mods to the hardware.

It is easier to solve problems if any on a stock and unmounted board.

I know these are stupid questions but I don't want to brick my uBITX.
Thanks in advance for your response.

With the Yamaha CM-500, are you using the battery power supply provided with it or direct to the radio?

a Koss CS-100 Headset with my BITX40 with excellent results. I did try a cheap Logitech one and found that I wasn't getting enough audio from the
microphone. The one thing to be careful of when ordering computer headsets is that many manufacturers make both a USB and conventional dual 3.5mm
jack version of their headsets and you need to make sure that you don't  accidentally order the USB version.

P.S. To use a headset with the uBITX or BITX40 you will want to look into implementing one of the anti-TX/RX Thump mods, otherwise it is murder on the ears !

hf signals is keeping the same price because they are able to manage within that price for now. if component prices go up, they might revise the prices.
