Re: Yes, My homebrew µBitx now work!!
Mick,
Be very careful. With a strong signal, the TDA2030 can deliver a full 20 watts directly to your ear drum. Unless you are using a reliable AGC, you risk ruining your hearing.

Mitchel, you are correct the schematic shows the cap then the resistors but on the board it is resistor then cap.

I installed the TDA 2030 audio amp for my speaker connection. It works very well. I use headphones normally and I don’t need the extra volume for them. The TDA has a volume pot on it so you can

The voltage off the emitter ranges from zero to about 7volts.

Evan,
I made the change this afternoon for pop
This cuts the sound well when I switch to TX, but as soon as we return to RX there is always a noise as if a capacitor were draining. This noise is lower

Vic,
Your case is pretty sharp.
One thing I love about the uBitX and BitX is the creativity. You can find 500 IC7300 or KX3 and they will all pretty much look and operate the same. You can find 10

Jonas,
I like the aluminum case, the 3-d printed one looks cool. Is the Makita powering the UBitX?
I also have the N7DDC Tuner for the UBitX. I don't have it finished yet, I am making a case for it

For some reason, the XLoader kept telling me that the upload was a failure. Then I changed the comport to COM1 then switched it back to COM8 and it uploaded perfectly. I have the uBITX back together.

Re: Another twist to AGC for the ubitx
how much of AGC range are you getting out of the emitter degeneration arrangement? A different approach maybe to use a series diode.

Hi,
Here the tuning section I wrote for the ubitx_v4.3_code.ino:
if (s > 6)
frequency += 1250l;
else if (s > 2)
frequency += 100l;
else if (s > 0)
frequency += 10l;

Gordon,
Would you like to understand the function of each "KTx" relay, which selection each "KT" relay corresponds to? I also want to improve them.
Congratulations on your changes.

Gerard,
Sorry, I forgot that the audio amp sections were different.
I think the pop problem would not be solved with the C38 change. The way it was fixed was between the v3 and v4, where Q74 was

The Nextion display will generate some noise, especially if the brightness is not on full bright. You might want to check that.
