Yep, it does. Some idiots read the posts here (e.g., me) and simply cut-and-paste the URL and expect it to work. That's not always the case.

Try reducing power by a watt or two and see. If the harmonics dropsignificantly then I'd say the PA
is being over driven a bit.
The power you are getting at the low bands is less than I would

I still have the stock screen and it works fine.
My next step it to get a better mic going ..... just waiting on plugs to arrive.

Freeing up the code space that is required for the stock display allows for more features to be implemented. The KD8CEC software also allows additional controllers to be added for things like spectra

That makes sense, hummm so what good is the ribbon cable for just like a hdmi input or something, I haven't seen anything hooked to a nextion ribbon ever.

Display is more sophisticated, offloads processing to the screens own subsystem vs having the arduino have to take on the workload, trying to keep up with more sophisticated screen renderings.

From the description supplied in support case the digital pins via the ribbon cable are not compatible with serial communication, as such are not wired to each other in anyway since the other side

Why not just use your ohm meter and prob the connector while touching the pin on other side Id imagine you would get continuity on the corresponding pins??
