I am far away from my test bench but someone here could try this..
Connect a volume control (or preset) to PIN 2 (center of pot) and one end to ground on LM386 and feed side tone to the top. This pot

It looks like you have tied the antenna next to existing wires. That is very likely going to cause a problem. You never want to couple RF into existing wiring if you can help it, and that is going

Yeah now get the actual dipole legs away from the building a bit otherwise it’s not gonna work too well.

Hello,
Here are the results of the install. I believe this is a proper install. 20 meters dipole .
I’m really happy they let me drill a hole in the wall. It’s filled with foam to seal it just like

is employed or commercial battery (usually has it) so generally they
are protected against over discharge.

Re: Power requirement
I vary my use based on power needs and operating time between charges.
Using my Ft817 as an example its fairly power hungry on RX (.370-450ma)
so even on the 8cell internal NiMh pack it s pretty well

Re: CW Filter
Interesting note here... if you use series varactor diodes to ground on the inner caps (that go to ground) and put variable voltage on the junction...you instantly have a variable pass-band control.
