Re: nextion noise 2.5mh choke
I wish there was some to disable the dimming mode of the nextion display, maybe contact nextion to see if this is possible?
because the choke dose not get rid of the noise completely!

That is raw.
You can hard wire the radio and have it work just fine.

Re: nextion noise 2.5mh choke
I wrapped all 4 feed wires around a toroid core. I figured that I didn't know which wire was emitting in common mode so they all got the treatment. Made the installation neat using up the excess wire.

Absolutely Mike! With the inherent stability of the uBITX it tunes nicely to the exact frequency, zero beat, and no problem in receiving AM. Actually, it is somewhat better since the selective fade is

Re: A minor bug in the ubitx circuit
Russ,
The side tone is generated by the Raduino Nano and fed to the audio. The CW signal to the power amp is from the Raduino Si5351 VFO direct. The BFO is disabled during CW transition.

having just walked in the door a couple of days ago, there seems to be quite a bit of mods that can be made to the ubix radios. my question is where does one start to add the lcd displays to this

Re: uBitX as a Shortwave Receiver?
I use it to do that often. However, it is not very great for music as the crystal filter is quite narrow. You can easily add an AM detector at 45 mhz by using an NE612 as an active AM detector. The

Russ,
The dashes dont seem long enough on the sidetone though they are transmitted properly. The dashes sound like blips. What is happening is that as a number of square waves pass through the filters

Re: A minor bug in the ubitx circuit
How does this problem manifest itself? Just no CW tone at all or something else? My CW is working on relatively new v5 board so wanted to make sure. I’ve noticed it is a bit lower than I expect it

uBitX as a Shortwave Receiver?
I have read over the info about the uBitX on HFSigs. I understand it receives LSB and USB, but there is no mention of it being capable of receiving AM. I am considering

Dennis,
You need to looks at the buffers that go back and forth between the Nextion and the Raduino. Quite frankly, I never really figured them out because there is limited comment in the code. So not

nextion noise 2.5mh choke
just to let everybody know that a good source for the nextion noise reducer choke (2.5mh)
is to get a toroid (FT114_43) from kitsandparts.com and wind 70 turns of #22 wire on in, it has about 1

After further review, I would recommend a series combination of R253 and a 0.1 uF cap, otherwise you are changing the side tone level and shunting the received audio by 0.05 uF (series string of added
