Re: encoder mod/ seperate switch
You don't have to modify the encoder. Just add an SPST Normally Open pushbutton switch and connect the two wires from the second switch to the wires that go to the two separate pins on the encoder.

We've added NO push button switches to use as a selection object instead of the built-in switch. You still need to track which menu option level/option was selected (e.g., a State machine), but it's

Wow, not sure why the relay boards were slow to sell, either v3 and v4 folk could care less about spurs, or lots have done axicom surgery. Don't take by advice on kit marketing potential.
Thanks

hello,
You can monitor your AF intput with this device . You can tap directly at the input from the mike plug though a 600/600 transformer and in serie with a 10nf capacitor.

Is it as simple as adding the(appropriate) resister in series with the meter + side and ground the meter - side?
And where would I tap the a V4 board for the resister going to the + meter?

Big fan of analog meters. For bitx levels and especially in SDRs—to balance the chi. ;-)

I used a round file and once the paint is gone inside the led hole it’s a tight fit, but no chance of it falling out.

Hello,
Many options are possible to tune your AF level. obviously measurement tools like ocsilloscope tap directly at the output of the Af Amplifier or a spectrum analyzer is also very useful.

I had previewed a raspberry pi board for hf radios with a high end codec at the fdim. This is for a new radio that i am building to push the limits of what my homelab capability can produce.

That's awesome.
I just picked up a 'like new' Collins power supply cabinet for a KWM-2 series radio at a hamfest. I am thinking seriously about a similar build, with a uBitx mounted inside, but hadn't
