I am using the 2.8 Nextion. Initially I had cut the opening to fit the glass surface and then noticed not just that the surface had unused area, but more important the illuminating LED was shining

Re: V5 audio Help !
I’m very new to all this but I’ve twice had the no audio except for encoder clicks.
First time I found that I had actually lost RF input due to a faulty BNC antenna connector. Wiggling the coax

Re: V5 audio Help !
Hi, as mentioned first symptoms was the sudden drop in audio to near nothing after an attempt to wire audio to the mike plug ( second round four pin connector) for digital use. All was working fine

Confused here. You said you do not have an oscope, so what is it that is making weird lines?
If injecting audio at the mixer output did not produce audio at the regular output then you have

I will try to help. Since I have not been following your specific thread, can
you bring me up to speed. The topic indicates you are using a V5 uBITX.
What have you tried thus far? Did it ever

Re: Output change.
My v4 is a bit below 5w on 40m, but I digress.
First, consider accuracy of your power meter. I won't swear my wm2 is perfect. Some instruments seem to over estimate power a bit.
Possibly your v5

Re: Updated to a larger Nextion screen
Ian
i actually took the extreme step of mounting a 1.5a 7805 on the case. And then I ran some wires to the Raduino (removing the original one). Had no choice since the 5” Nextion draws 500ma.

Output change.
I have an upcoming qrp sprint that had a max of 5w for ssb. Is there an easy way to back the power output down to this and back after the two hours? I am running a v5 bitx with the updated firmware

Re: no audio
Sam,
can you fill us in on what test equipment you have? I would start by measuring voltages on the RX tags listed in th3 schematic. I would then try supplying a signal to the audio section

Difficult to troubleshoot remotely without more information, but if there is no local
oscillator signal into the BFO mixer there would be no audio output from that stage.

I tried isolating the amp only. Nothing. I tried a radio shack amplified speaker on just the audio section of the main board...pre and post amp. Nothing. I tried isolating only the front panel.
