Re: BITX QSO Afternoon/Evening, Sunday, May 20, 3PM & 7PM Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere.
Had a complete exchange With Jake, KE0GYC despite the static crashes. It's definitely a very noisy night.

I got it going on FT8 and made some great contacts on 40 FT8, about 7 watts out Then the audio went away and it took a day to figure it out.
See my 'tutorial' for info.

audio dropping out
Ok, something new. I think I may need to replace one, or both of the wiring harness to the raduino and the board. I get audio spontaneously dropping out. If I just touch these wires it comes back.

Well I've been using it on FT8 without AGC so what I'd like is a way to wire in a fixed AF. But I'm not sure if I need a separate drive chip or if the ubitx has what I need already. Need someone who

Check the metal spring-sockets that are inserted into the plastic housing of the wiring harness. I found on mine that the little tab that is supposed to keep the metal contact from backing out did not

Hi Patrick, yes, that is what We (me vk5gi and Greg vk5gj) have done, and put a fan in as well. Fan driven by a 7 volt regulator to keep the noise down!

Re: pin 2 of raduino board seems to have gone to CW TX full time after boot message.
Could be a reason that some Nano's are $2.50 and some are $3.00.
I'd hate to think of all the corners that would have to be cut to hit those prices.
Maybe $5 from a mainstream vendor would be a good

Re: Transmitter Mods
Fro the inductor:
445-1064-1-ND
For the capacitor:
1576-1288-1.ND
Of course, my offer is still good, just send me the envelope if you like.

W2DLC was my first QSO with the uBITX - Finally got the drive issues sorted out and got everything boxed up! Glad I had a good maiden voyage!

Re: Fixed AF out.
You could simply put two jacks, one for speaker and one for data - wire them is parallel OR
just solder an internal speaker in parallel. You will hear the audio.

Re: Fixed AF out.
Connect an audio jack to VOL-H. A convenient place to do this is right at the volume pot.

JackAl Board Debut
All:
The FDIM conference was a good time and the trip to nearby Xenia for the Hamvention was also great. The rain didn't help, but it was better than last year, and I'm sure it will be even better

Re: Arduino Nano dds
You may want to look into this for the crystal replacement. It uses an arduino and can or can not be built to lock on to the GPS system.

Hello Hamad (if the google translator is correct),
I would connect it the following way:
Mic shield and mic Red to Blue wire from the main board
Mic White to Violet wire from main board
