Thanks Jerry, great ideas.
I will try the delayed single write and report what happens.
My objective is to have a software ALC or power limiter for SSB (and mainly for digital modes) where I can

Thanks Randy. But I fear your suggestion might lead to problems with the Smore industry. They have some scary lawyers. 73 Bill

Re: Arduino For Idiots?
The Elegoo Arduino Starter Kit (the $30.00 one) is very good. Even though Chinese origin the author of the manual knows excellent English. I had fun learning the basics.

Re: US Purchasers of the µBITX
HI Steven,
I have noted on many occasions that those who expedite delivery through DHL to the UK end up paying duty, not once have I heard of anyone paying duty when shipping has been through India

When I wrote that code, I assumed the output clock would be jumping around like crazy as the registers got loaded.
This chip is primarily out there to replace a bunch of the older fixed 4 pin crystal

Re: RD16HHF1 power curve flattening...some
Hello Jerry,
I understand the reasons why we are in the current configuration. It made sense.
These AD8307 are cheap log amps.
Thanks for the information.

SI5351 simultaneous clock changes

Taking a short-cut from reading the SI5351 datasheet and after going through Jerry's code in the ubitx_si5351 source, I believe that two clocks can be changed simultaneously.
The purpose of this is

My understanding is the DHL upgrade was only on the first batch, when the post office there
complained of being overloaded with hundreds of boxes.

Re: RD16HHF1 power curve flattening...some
A search for "si5351 main board" in this forum will show it's been suggested a half dozen times,
starting with post 20455. I'm still hoping it will happen someday.
Can ship with a Nano and perhaps

Henry Ford III did.
About 75 years after Lockheed formed theirs.
You can google it.
I'm expecting a nasty-gram from Alphabet's lawyers anytime now.

Re: RD16HHF1 power curve flattening...some
I personally prefer a max of ~10W also (battery power, etc) and the RD transistors are definitely intended for "RF" use and work great on 10m/15m (vs the 510s which essentially quit around 18MHz). I

That is apparently NOT the case with DHL for US purchasers. My 3 cleared customs and were delivered by DHL couriers with absolutely NO extra charges.

Re: uBITX BAT54SL: diode ring mixer direction question
If you really want to know, test the part with an multi-meter on the "diode" setting. That will resolve the polarity for sure.
