Re: Audio input to transmitter - level?

Do you use the whole circuit board? Or just the meter, connected to the transformer and capacitor? Also, where do you put the capacitor? Would you use the capacitor to block the DC bias from shorting to ground through the transformer? Or would the capacitor be closest to the meter?

Re: UBitx v5 Not Saving Calibration or BFO adjustments with CEC v 1.20 Nextion
Evan Hand
markix88,
If you are using the KD8CEC memory manager, then you need to read the Nano, decode, make changes and then encode before you write the values to the Nano again. Then be sure to disconnect the USB cable and power cycle the uBITX. If you leave the USB cable connected it will keep the Nano powered and the changes will not go into effect until all power is removed from the radio and the display is dark. I would need to understand what you are doing if you are using the stock firmware from HFSignals, as the uBITX goes into transmit mode to calibrate with the stock code. 73 Evan AC9TU

Re: UBitx v5 Not Saving Calibration or BFO adjustments with CEC v 1.20 Nextion
Did not read the hole topic but v5 board has other settings for calibration than former board versions. So if you follow the calibration steps as mentioned on the hfsignals site it won’t work. Had the same.
Have to dive into my radio tomorrow to see the correct settings.

It sat on the table at the recent Belton Hamfest in Texas for two days before I bought it. Considering what I paid for it ($70), it wasn't cheap, but it also wasn't snapped up by Collins collectors. It's a nice shell with nothing inside it, nothing more - it's not a sacred relic, and it's an easily obtainable item in the collector world. (My view of the Collins market is obviously skewed by my proximity to Collin's Richardson facility and the number of friends that are former Collins employees, much like I suspect the used Drake market is around Dayton, Ohio.) Re: BitX/uBit Raduino Replacements
Michael Hagen
A few weeks ago I got requests for Raduino replacements. I sold the available built and tested units I had for BitX and uBit. I ordered new PCBs, so now I have RaduinoX for BitX and RaduinoUmax for uBit. These are the "better"
replacements, and have lots of nice features, but remain exact
replacements. I also have about 20 new PCBs of each, for anyone who wants a Bare Board. Contact me direct for Info : 73'S Mike, WA6ISP -- Mike Hagen, WA6ISP 10917 Bryant Street Yucaipa, Ca. 92399 (909) 918-0058 PayPal ID "MotDog@..." Mike@...

Re: Kit-Projects Bitx40 AGC
Herman, Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the AGC. Please contact me via: info at kit-projects dot com : so we can help trouble shoot the agc if you are having issues. The "new one" is going to be for the Bitx40 not the ubitx. We still have some tweaking to do on the Bitx40 version but function will be the same. 73 N8DAH

Ken Hansen,
Please don't butcher the Collins cabinet, it would be very sought after and cherished by a Collins collector. 73, Bob GM4CID

Re: Kit-Projects Bitx40 AGC
Herman there are more then one AGC fir uBITX on the market. Now with this one I know now 4 different. For mine is the connection on the hot side of the audio poti. Where the signal is supplied from first stage passing a 1kΩ resistor. The AGC pulls down the hot end of the poti. Others i do not know. ---------- 73 de Erich HB9FIH HS0ZLS Am 14. Hello David,
Maybe I made a mistake when I ordered the AGC print and mounted it in my UBITx V5.0. I am not satisfied with ho wit works/ or not works…If I look tot his printed circuit I see much differences with my build in cuircit.
So my question: Do I have the wrong one build in my Ubitx V5.?? Can I replace it fort he new one…?

Hello all, We just put the Bitx40 AGC out to fab for proto type and look forward to having this ready in the coming weeks it will install just like our uBitx agc pre-built with install instructions. Update: Digital interfaces and outboard relay kits are almost gone! Relay boards will be discontinued once they are gone and we are not sure when or if the digital interface's will be re-run 73 N8DAH

Re: encoder mod/ seperate switch
You don't have to modify the encoder. Just add an SPST Normally Open pushbutton switch and connect the two wires from the second switch to the wires that go to the two separate pins on the encoder. The 3 pins on the other side of the encoder are for the frequency encoding function and the two pins by themselves are the switch. No mods needed to the encoder at all. Jim - W0EB

Re: encoder mod/ seperate switch
We've added NO push button switches to use as a selection object instead of the built-in switch. You still need to track which menu option level/option was selected (e.g., a State machine), but it's not that hard to do. Jack, W8TEE

Thanks Ed and Curt, these are exactly what I needed. I don’t know what visual block did this but I was searching all over ubitx.net for instructions on the LED hookup and Curt’s comment made me realize I was on the wrong domain!
my Microphone and remaining antenna parts arrive tomorrow, it will be a fun day!

Wow, not sure why the relay boards were slow to sell, either v3 and v4 folk could care less about spurs, or lots have done axicom surgery. Don't take by advice on kit marketing potential.
Thanks David for preparing my digital interface order within minutes of placement. No hurry in getting it out of your store. My ubitx is clean through 17m now, so why not some digital mode action. Thanks again for supplying the community here. I hope our merchants on other continents are also appreciated. 73 curt wb8yyy

hello,
You can monitor your AF intput with this device . You can tap directly at the input from the mike plug though a 600/600 transformer and in serie with a 10nf capacitor. vu meter 73s
