Sam, thank you.  I will reverse the wires, add a resistor and a cap.

Hi,

Saw this referenced on ubitx.net. How is the project going? Sounds like a great addon. Be happy to be the test subject on a V4 board. :-)

Hi,

Where are the latest tft? I looked on github and they were dated back in August. Looking for 3.2 enhanced.

eye candy... looks great! Were you able to get the spectrum on main page?

Hi Ted. I briefly saw your screen layout and understand Sams questions. Yes your S meter is slightly off. It runs over the white lines that which are part of the image. Also the frequency dot Sam is talking about is a image on the layout of the screen. If one wants to move the frequency around they have to adjust the frequency dot graphically as well.

This is a screenshot of my 5” layout. I’m working on the other screens but will make this 5” layout available soon.

Hi, Sam.

Please explain what you mean by painted items.... do you mean things like the S-meter path that gets overlaid with the moving meter graphic during operation?  What does controlling a decimal via a button do?   This may sound silly, though it's all to do with me figuring out how the programming works and what can be done with it.

Retaining CW settings after a reset would be handy, as would a quick and easy RIT to account for the difference  between one's own freq and the other guy's setting (600-800hz) especially when using a narrow RX filter.

Re: Kit projects AGC install - extremely frustrated.

Mark, it is a DP3T on/on/on often referred to as a shorting switch.

Jack, the schem we use is the same as nd6t's with the addition of a 5v reg and not as many decay setting options that's it. Once I get back to my computer I will send it to you. Also will add same as Tim has. Make a new thread or email us don't derail another's thread. may be try to be less insulting or rude.

Hi Ted,

Yes...s-meter, etc. Funny...just did this last night. I wanted the freq display more to the left and down a bit. If the decimal is painted, I have to move the freq controls and then figure out where the painted decimal needs to be and then edit the picture. With a button, I just control the x,y,w,h and I'm off to the races.

Re: ubitx version 2 - substitute darlington for Q70 (MMBT3904) to increase stage gain?

David Feldman

Thanks, Tom -- that's what I'm seeing. Through the transverter, with an old HP 8660 synthesizer providing -140 dBm, I am just barely able to hear the synthesizer (so I think noise figure is OK), however, the overall audio level is not very high (just barely adequate.) If I put the output of the ubitx through a PC amplified speaker, it works very well - plenty of audio. The TDA2822 audio output amp is able to provide adequate volume with a higher RF input to the radio, so I figure getting some additional audio gain would suffice, and perhaps be simpler than manipulating the RF line-up. Hope that helps explain my goal!

Thanks again,

Dave

Fan blows on finals. That wiring lasted all of 5 minutes. I have it switched to the rear. I did add a resistor in series and cap to ground to get rid of the noise

Re: uBitx fan size for the amateurradiokits.in enclosure #ubitx

Hello Sam,
It would appear from your photo of the wiring that your fan is wired to suck air out of the case, rather than blow air on to the heat sinks.  Is this correct?
Thanks and 73

Vic likely has it solved, I forgot about that setting to change from paddle to key.
