need an assembled & complete bitx.....

shubhamforme <shubhamforme@...>

hello every one....i am new to ham radios and i live in india......
the company made rigs are very costly and are for experts....
almost a month ago i came across the bitx through information at web....
i know that there are kits available of bitx on net,,but my problem is
that i dont have any experience and intruments for building a
transceiver,,,,
so i am eagerly searching for a person who can provide me a bitx20a or
the bitx20 version-3 transceiver with a 100 watt's linear + a digital
frequency counter + a cw tone all fitted in a compact cabinet...

i will pay the desired cost for producing this rig for me.....
so please contact me at --- shubhamforme@...
my mob no for indian's - --- 0-9907249249

BITX on other bands (was: Updated schematic and or PCB Layout drawing)

sigcom1

Of course, simply subtracting a 3 MHz VFO from the 10 MHz USB
sideband generator used in the BITX20 would create a 40 meter signal
but it would not invert the sideband to LSB. This situation is the
same with any SSB generator that does not have capability of
selecting sidebands irregardless of the generator's suppressed
carrier frequency. In the case of 40 meters using the BITX's 10 MHz
sideband generator, to flip the sideband to LSB the VFO would need to
be -above- the sideband generator or 17 MHz. Example: A 1 KHz audio
tone into a 10 MHz USB generator results in a 10.001 MHz signal
(USB). Subtracting 3.0 MHz from 10.001 the resulting difference is
7.001 MHz, still USB. 17 MHz minus 10.001 equals 6.999 MHz (LSB).
However, a 17 MHz VFO might not be very practical so making the SSB
generator LSB or selectable sidebands would be a better way to go,
IMO.

have also the parts implantation at the end, and also the PCB

This concept is easy to adapt on other bands (especially 40 m)

Excellent, Arv.

The yahoo group I referenced is a group similar to what we've got here
for BITX, with contributions from a number of solder-melters.

Jim,

The group is at
<http://fr.groups.yahoo .com/group/Groupe_BINGO_QRP_SSB_CW>

Beware of that extra space in there.

The moderateur seems to be OK with anglophones, but be advised that if
you don't read French, you'll be using babel fish. It's a moderated
group, but approval for me was within 24 hours.

Right now, they seem to be suffering from the same problems that
American yahoo groups suffered over the weekend --the group is partly
inaccessible. Plus, the group is a work in progress, and not all the
file folders are populated yet. If you'd like, I can send you a
couple of the schematics and PDFs off-list.

The PCB Layout of the BitX20A is my property. I invested a substantial
amount of money to have the Layout and files developed. They will not be
made available on the web. 72, Doug

I am looking for an updated schematic of the BITX20 or BITX20A. and
also the mods needed for 40m

I am also trying to get the PCB layout drwawing of this rig.
This in fomat of gerber or dxf or odb++ or the original design file
from the PCB tool.

Who is able to help me to get these items?

Re: Updated schematic and or PCB Layout drawing

Jim <n6otq@...>

KaPOW!! Ya got me!

Yes, I meant 40 meters.

Although BITX will work on almost any HF frequency as long as you do
your arithmetic. The convention for amateur radio is that the "normal"
sideband assumes a 9 MHz filter and additive or subtractive oscillators
to hit the ham bands. Anything mixed to above 9 MHz uses upper
sideband, and anything mixed to below 9 MHz uses lower sideband as the
"normal" sideband.

The IRF510s are more like resistors than amplifiers above 30 MHz, so
you'd need suitable replacements for 6 meters and above.

On an unrelated subject, I found that French SSB rig that was mentioned
the other day. Their yahoo group had photos of an alleged 2 meter
version -- the RX amp and the TX driver amp were both made with
impossibly long space-wound coils that looked for all the world like
springs in a reverb unit.
