Following my comment in the http://www.hamskey.com/2018/04/how-to-connect-sdr-rtl-sdr-to-ubitx-and.html?showComment=1572969252472#c7109846895242820018 thread, I tried SM0JZT's method using a kit from G4HUP. See https://ubitx.net/2018/07/21/full-sdr-receive-with-g4hup-buffer-amp/ and https://groups.io/g/BITX20/message/54410 for some notes, and https://www.sdr-kits.net/Panoramic-Adaptor-Tap-Boards for the amplifying tap board.   The nice thing about doing it this way is that it is before the 15kHz wide filter so you can deliver more bandwidth to your SDR.

I piggy-backed a two-pin header across R16 of my V5 and stuck that directly into a 2-pin socket I soldered onto the G4HUP 50MHz panoramic adapter board.    R16 performs the same function in V4 as it does in V5, so it should work the same way.
