Re: What to do with an Old Cars
Lloyd 600 vans and trucks were 2 cylinder, front wheel drive. They were smaller than VWs, Goliaths and DKWs. Here's my Lloyd in 1963 out camping in Marin with my late wife. Alfa also made one with a 2 cylinder diesel.

Definitely a Tempo - they used a VW beetle motor but with a non-swing axle tranny and were FWD - before VW had a van. Got cut off from beetle motors once VW built their bus - switched to a water cooled Austin and also a small diesel - which eventually became Hanomog and then Mercedes. The Tempo name moved to India and they are still built there.
That van has a Tempo look to it. They made quite a lot of them in Hamburg.

Hi Arcaners,
After you have religiously changed the oil,
waxed your car, kept in the heated garage,
put on seat covers to preserve your car so
the next owner might have a "like new"
experience, it comes time to find that new
owner who'll take the same pride of
ownership that you have displayed.
You could give it to a friend or relative
who would expect lifetime free warranty
on all parts despite their abuse.
You could donate it to a charity that
wouldn't bother to record a title change
so you get someone else's parking
tickets for ever more.
You could trade it in on a new car that
doesn't have all the features you appreciated
in the old car and would raise the new car
price what ever they said you were getting
for a trade it.
OR you could let these guys
have it
for a little fun.

I live near San Francisco, famous for its hills. They legally require
you to do all these things when you park:
1) Curb your wheels
2) Set the parking brake
3) Put the car in park, or in gear if a stick shift.
They'll ticket you if you don't. A run away car on a steep hill makes a
dangerous, expen$ive mess.

After a little “incident” almost happened at a Cars on Cole event, I also carry chocks in the (low compression, weak brakes) Amphicar. Don’t want no trouble.
(Automatic spell-check thought I should “carry chicks” rather than the chalk they assigned to Red Fred! Just lucky, I guess.)

Re: [CitroenDSID] Remember to use your Handbrake!
I carry a tire chalk in my vintage Maserati, my '37 Cord, my '97 Ford F150 4WD, and my '33 Pu, plus my 2 Fiat 124 Spiders, and my 67 Silver Shadow One of my worst nightmares was arriving at my home to see the facade broken down by a run away car.. Bottom line; don't be a fucking dick. secure your vehicle when it's parked, especially on a hill. I now take the liberty of slashing tires that aren't curbed; for a good reason. I've paid the price; twice.

The DS with the Citromatic could get away from you if you weren’t vigilant with the parking brake. Mine came with a built-in example of that. (pic attached) The two creases in
the front bumper are from wall studs in the 2nd owner’s garage.

I live near San Francisco, famous for its hills. They legally require
you to do all these things when you park:
1) Curb your wheels
2) Set the parking brake
3) Put the car in park, or in gear if a stick shift.
They'll ticket you if you don't. A run away car on a steep hill makes a
dangerous, expen$ive mess.
