Re: Traction Avant in Oakland
Hello Miles,
That was probably the previous owner being an electrical genius. My '52 Traction had proper connectors that even had screws to secure the wires.
But it was always running...

Re: Traction Avant in Oakland
I bought this '52 in Hollister for $4200 and it ran after a few tweaks but since these cars don't have a fuse box you might imagine I had quite a bit of electrical to fix but never did and just sold

Re: Renault 16 Battery Size?
Rowan,
I have a 51R in my '66, it is only 1/8" taller than the group 25. If you want to upgrade to an AGM battery the early ('90-05) Miata battery is good choice, somewhat smaller, it is group U1R.

Renault 16 Battery Size?
Hi all,
I was wondering if any fellow R16 owners knew the proper battery group/size that will fit in an R16. I saw on some websites that group 51R is said to fit, but after a quick measurement it

They didn’t recognize the shift lever sticking out if the dash, so if it ain’t manual it must be automatic.

Thanks all. I’ve got to finish sorting out my current projects before jumping on one of these. Truth told, I intend to go philistine on one. Not custom, not hot rod, just a mild resto-mod –

Re: Is there interest in a New Year's day drive?
I believe, but don't know for certain, that there is one that will start at the Pacifica Bowling alley. Breakfast Rally Club will also have a run which will be in Marin.

Is there interest in a New Year's day drive?
And on the same subject, does anyone know of a New Years Day drive already planned and scheduled?
Not an Iron Bottom, but a lovely couple of hours?

Peter's spot on. Sounds like someone's failed custom to me. Keep looking!!
The Tractions I've driven are great fun. The independent torsion bar suspension, front wheel drive and low cg are rumored

Automatic Transmission? "Fair" condition? Keep looking!
You might also want to check out the SFRCCC -- San Francisco Region Citroen Car Club -- for leads in the area.

I really doubt that I will live that long.
And, unless either or both mount a significant corporate

Re: Messerschmitt Kabinenroller
I'm holding out for the new Microlino Isetta electric. I had a semi real KR200 in the 90s. Too low to be seen by giant 4x4s who hate imports in Oregon.

Messerschmitt Kabinenroller
If you missed getting a 1948 - 60 Messerschmitt Kabinenroller,
Now you have another chance.
Achim Adlfinger is making them in gas and electric versions.
