Re: How to put a truck back on its 18 wheels.
It is good that the cable broke - otherwise the loader might have followed the truck down the hill.

Thanks, Ken,
Yes but, the Brazilians took out a Policia car before the Scania
went into the vineyard. I also noticed the cable somehow came

The next time I flip an 18 wheeler I’ll be sure to do it in Germany.

How to put a truck back on its 18 wheels.
Flipping an 18 wheelers upright.
Two interesting and different techniques, first from Germany, second from Brazil.
Two video. Start with the German.
Take your pick!

These seem to have been sold on BaT for prices from around $8K to $22K. I didn't look into the completed auctions to see the conditions of the cars at the different selling

3d scan
If you watch the vids on YouTube you will see 3d scanning is poor at best. Cad drawing is the way to do it right.
Have to print it in ABS or other material for outdoor use, not PLA. I thought that

Re: 3D scanning then printing
Drawings aren't likely needed in your case.
A scan cloud gives nothing that can be used directly by a CAD package. Typically I use it to verify my native features, turning it on to validate then

Re: 3D scanning then printing
No whittling of parts was on my agenda, but I see a cad drawing is yet another step in the process, not sure if a 3D scan gets you raw data that can be drawn on by the cad program to get the speedo

Re: 3D scanning then printing
There’s no right answer that will fit everyone, but pipe, etc can be fine, assuming it will be invisible, hold up, and not prevent you from making a more proper repair at a later date.
It all

3D scanning provides a point cloud. It is difficult to print properly from a point cloud. Having rented some very nice 3D laser scanners, and generated over 6Tb of data in an industrial setting, in

3D scanning then printing
So
I would like to 3D scan a speedometer housing that’s plastic (but decaying as I write), then with that 3D scan file I would like to have new housings printed, and any machine screw holes being
