I did find the VIN #

between looking carefully at the pix you'd sent me at the end of March ... and looking through my Trihawk database ... I was able to deduce 100% (as Warren had indeed given me the full number at some point)

December 1983
1P9-T101A4-DD038031

So - I'd suggest that you write that onto a decent piece of paper, and then use shipping tape to seal/mount that onto the firewall.

With that info, Jennifer should be able to go to DMV (!) with Warren's death certificate and that VIN # in order to print/release a new pink slip?

Oh !!!! looking through emails I sent you ... on March 27th I actually gave you that VIN # for the blue Trihawk .........

What we still don't know ... is if there is a VIN number stamped into the chassis somewhere.

Adam.

s/n 1P9-T101A4-DD038031 marked  ---   1983 ... do not have the color noted.  Maybe that's the blue one?

On the second one, I have a note "This is the first production Trihawk built December 1982, Mokena Illinois"  I think he bought that from Lou Richards son Dale - who lives (I think) in Sonoma County).

These are lovely old cars. Not the fastest of the breed (a 2-liter rather that BOP V8), but a durable alternative to Jaguar. The Peter Satori history and complete records are wonderful. I remember visiting a salesman friend there when the new Elans came in. Bit of a project this would be, but worth it.

I've got loads of the toy cars, but I am certainly lacking a suit of armor.

And will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

I bought 1 of my Powells from Mike Hennesey. It's actually the very first one we looked at in 2015. Wife wanted one with a fishing pole tube. So we passed on it back then. After owning 3 other Powells I texted Mike on my way thru town and he still had it. It was buried in his back lot and he had to move alot of others to get it out.

It's at my place in Oregon now and it is a very early 1954 model, one of the ones with wood bumpers and wood tailgate. I plan on a full rotisserie restore.

A few months back I bought another Powell truck, a more civilized model, it's a '56. We have 3 Powell trucks now, Powell mini bike, and a 1930s Powell radio, I started a Powell club on FB in 2016. Brad Powell, son of Hayward Powell came to visit, he interviewed me on our red truck, hope he releases the video soon. Brad has one of his dad's trucks and the only remaining Powell Campcar (motor home).

I have several Velosolex mopeds in various conditions from projects to completed ridable bikes. Old and newer models. I would consider selling a few of these. Please contact Charles at chasgould@.... They are located in Massachusetts.

Too bad I missed the most previous tour, but........

Stephen Cooper

It is with great dismay that I must confess that the prospects of driving an Arcane car all the way from Scotts Valley  to Vacaville for the START of an event, no matter how enticing the tour sounded, was just not sufficient to get me out of bed last weekend.  My newest Arcane car did make it to the tour of Livermore's back roads last year but slept soundly in my carport while other, more adventuresome vehicles, made their way for multiple hours of excitement.  I look forward to hearing from those who did the trek!

I got the same fakie email from DT signed dt, I copied and sent it to Toby T.

I get these type emails and texts several times a year. The weirdest one was from the Priest at my wife's school asking me to buy a gift card for a nun because he was stuck in mass and couldn't get away. Lol.

Fred,

you certainly know more about the landscape than I do, but at least I recognized the email as not being legitimate.  Should have said that and nothing about hacking.  I have not gotten the follow up request to send anyone a gift card...yet, something I'd never do

It is just as unlikely that his email account got hacked as it is that
somebody hacked YOURS to send it to you.

If the scoundrels have a list of email addresses that might know each
other (such as conversations in an almost public email group), they choose
one from the list to send to, and another from the list to put in the
FROM: line.   There is an app to do that.

It is no harder to lie about who an email is from than it is for snail
mail.  I got a piece of snail mail with a return address of 1600
Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Wash DC.  Should I contact the secret service and
speculate that terrists have taken over the Whitehouse mailroom?  (BTW,
the postmark was New Jersey, and the email asked me to urgently said a
donation to a POBox)

Then, the scoundrels take another name from the list for another fake
return address, and send the email to another name on the list.

If they get a list from an email group, they have plenty of addresses to
send the scam from and to.   Why would they put in the effort to "hack"
Dick Tuttle's AOL email acct?  Unless you think that Dick Tuttle's AOL
email acct address book is the only place that they could have gotten your
address and the hint that the two of you might know each other.
They do not need to invade the Whitehouse mailroom to send out fake
emails that purport to be from there.

Re: This is the follow up to the fake message

Fred Cisin

We will be glad to.

Once we get them to you, you will have them with you when you return, at the same time that you could get them yourself.

If you've met your niece, you can probaby come up with a better gift choice than that.

Thanks for responding, am so sorry to bother you with this message but i got no choice, I need to get a Ebay gift card for my niece, it's her birthday today, but i can't do this now because I'm currently traveling and i tried purchasing online but unfortunately no luck with that. Can you help get it from any pharmacy, gas station or grocery store around you?  I'll pay back as soon as I am back. Kindly let me know if you can handle this so I can tell you the amount and how to get them to me.
