Damn it, Red Fred. Now I have a Fiat 850. I'll have to fire sale my NSU Typ110 (fairly easy project), NSU TT (hard project) NSU Sport Prinz (needs engine work) and 1952 Singer roadster (with hot rodded Volvo drive train) because I said I'd get rid of cars before getting another and I got accustomed to having a roof over my head. The Other Dave is going to hold it for me for a bit. I told him it was your fault. Dave in Sacramento

[fiatamerica] 1970 Fiat 850 Sedan

Hi Gang, Here's a wee gem offered by a great guy, and super Fiat mechanic. I have no idea what the asking price is, but I've always found Dave to be an honest, straightforward guy. If you really are interested, tell him that I sent ya, as he would probably be wondering how someone outside the Fiat Club contacted him on this. [fiatamerica] <fiatamerica@...> Date: Wed, Oct 7, 2020 at 8:27 AM Subject: [fiatamerica] 1970 Fiat 850 Sedan To: <fiatamerica@...> Hello, I'm losing the local off-site storage that I've been using to keep classic cars out of the weather, and so I've decided to sell my 1970 Fiat 850 Sedan, rather than park it on the street perpetually, or store it farther away from home where I'll rarely drive it. I've attached a single picture to this email, I have many more to share along with details about it's history, recent work, upgrades, etc. for anyone interested in being this neat car's next owner. In general it looks good, runs and drives well, and is reliable with no pressing issues.. Please contact me at this email address off the mailing list if you or anyone you know might be interested. Thanks! -Dave Voss __._,_.___

50 yrs ago in Chicago, I knew a guy who had a nice example of this one. All black. I'd never seen one before, and never saw another one after that experience. Can still remember my friend's face, but not his name - been awhile! Ken

Re: 1958 MG Magnette ZB Varitone on BaT
What a beaut! On a visit to Washington several years ago we stopped in at a local Cars and Coffee and a lovely Magnette Veritone was in attendance. After watching me lingering around his car for several minutes, the owner fulfilled a long held wish of mine and offered to let me and Mara take it for a spin. It didn’t disappoint! Just wonderful…

Awesome! Last time I saw an MGB such as this was in Pune, India, part of the closed private collection of the local Mercedes Benz dealer. JohnH

I thought the market for these was around $20k five years ago but they come up so rarely I guess the sky is the limit.

I was the first bidder, but I'm assuming it'll go for 50k which is 45k more than I can afford. They only live 3 miles or so from me. Besides, I should be looking for someone who has experience rebuilding NSU engines instead.

Re: Car Care Advice of Possible Benefit
Thank you, David! I’ve been insured by Hagerty since they started offering boat policies for Amphicars some years ago, but had not seen this useful piece. It makes clear everything I did wrong laying the vehicle up for the move and now pandemic, but it’s good to know now, and mistakes will not be repeated! Thank you for thinking of us all. Craig
