Schoharie RR museum - June 13 – Railroad Flea Market Swap

Geoff Dunn

Hello everyone. Hope you all had fun in Springfield!

At the show, I saw a flyer for something at the Schoharie Railroad Museum. Currently, said flyer has not appeared during unpacking from the show. But, after searching the Internet, I found this entry on the Events page of the Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association:
June 13 – Railroad Flea Market Swap/Trade of Model RR, Creamery Building @ Depot Lane Complex (in Schoharie)
Does anyone know anything more about this? Kindly share with us if you do.

Thanks. Geoff

John, you and I did a layout setup at the Schoharie museum years ago. Is it something they are trying again or is this something completely different, Mike.

Was it just the three of us? I remember the setup - it was on Father's Day, 20 years ago, based on my kids' ages... What a hot day and uneven floor! But we had fun.

I have emailed the Schoharie group asking for more information about June's show.

I heard back from the Schoharie Museum people. They're not sure about a display layout yet. I asked for a month's notice if they want something. We'll see...

The Schoharie people would like us to set up. But they'd like us to pay $40 for the space. We have never paid to set up at a show before. What do you guys think?

They space is two 10' X 8' areas back to back. I'm not sure if that's 20' X 8' or 10' X 16'.

I also vote “no” in regard to participation. In any event, I probably would not be available on June 13th as my son and his wife are expecting the birth of their 2nd child on or about June 14th.
