PCC show wrapup
Geoff Dunn
We had a good show on Saturday. Five members brought modules to the Polish Community Center, and we had a layout that ran well and entertained thousands. Well, a few hundred anyhow. Some pictures are posted in the photos section. Geoff

I haven't heard from Brian about his status for Saturday. Below are two plans, one with Brian and one without. Comments and suggestions are welcome, as always.
Geoff Without Brian, one table will be half empty. We can put out information sheets or something... ---In AlbanyNTRAK@..., <geoffdunnsoccer@...> wrote : So far, we have Rod, Dave, Mike Richards, myself, and possibly Brian bringing modules to the PCC show this Saturday. Up to you, of course. Geoff ---In AlbanyNTRAK@..., <geoffdunnsoccer@...> wrote : The semi-annual Polish Community Center show is March 10th, from 9:00 until 3:00. We usually display a T-Trak layout. Re: ALCO/Amsterdam Show

Dave,
I would be willing to be the coordinator for the Alco/Amsterdam Show on April 8th. However, since I haven’t coordinated a show before, I’ll need some guidance on what’s required of the coordinator.
Regarding my preference between Ttrak and Ntrak, I vote for Ttrak. If it’s Ttrak, I would be bringing 7-10 modules depending on what’s needed.
Please let me know what needs to be done prior to March 14th if the club decides that we’re participating. Thanks.
Rod

The club is need of a coordinator for the above show. The show date is April 8. The deadline for letting the organizers know we would attend is March 14. Last year we had a great Ttrak layout and I'd like to see the club do that again this year.
A few questions
- Is their a volunteer to coordinate?
- Ttrak or Ntrak?
- Who will attend and bring modules?
Thanks,
Dave

Geoff,
I’d prefer to stick to the 7 modules that I previously indicated that I would be bringing (i.e. 1 double-wide, 2 singles, 3 outside corners & 1 inside corner). However, I could bring 1 other double-wide and a couple of more singles if you needed them to fill-in the layout.

So far,
we have Rod, Dave, Mike Richards, myself, and possibly Brian bringing modules
to the PCC show this Saturday. We have room for more modules if anyone
else is interested. Setup is 7:30 or so; the show goes from 9:00 until
3:00.
The semi-annual Polish
Community Center show is
March 10th, from 9:00 until 3:00. We usually display a T-Trak
layout. Who would like to bring modules? We have our usual limited
space, I assume (I'll confirm that before the show).

I vote for Ttrak and would attend with my (2) double length modules.

I'm interested in attending. I'll have to double check my calendar.

Re: CGCC show wrapup

A few more things on the CGCC show...
Marv Rossman (Butch's dad) was there. He's doing well. He reported that Matt did get married in November. Matt was around ten when he and Butch started coming to shows... Attendance at the show was something like 830 people. That's within the normal range. We will here in January if there will be a show next year. The show organizer is or has retired from the college. We had six members bring modules to today's show. The layout was 13' X 17'. We had two loops of DC and two loops of DCC. There were a few minor hiccups at first but overall the layout ran well and we had fun. Pictures are in the Yahoo Groups photos area.

Rod, I'll be happy assist you with the unloading, etc. I'm sure there'll be enough of us to lend a hand. Dave

Re: CGCC show layout, draft 1

Geoff,
Thanks for the congrats on the grandchild. Karen and I haven’t been able to see much of Addison since she was born on February 5th as we’ve both been battling colds for most of February.
I did pick up Brian’s and Bob’s modules from Rik this morning. I can handle Bob’s lift bridge by myself on Sunday but I’m going to need help with unloading, setting-up and reloading Brian’s module as it’s too heavy for me to handle by myself. I’ll try to get to the college as early as possible on Sunday to facilitate getting it unloaded and set-up by the 10 am start time.
Rod

Rod,
congratulations on your grandchild. I hear they're lots of fun.
Geoff,
I was planning on bringing Brian’s and Bob’s modules rather than my own. I haven’t picked them up from Rik yet (it will probably be tomorrow). Therefore, if you think there may be an issue with clamping the lift bridge to a corner, please let me know by tomorrow and I’ll skip bringing either module and I’ll bring my own instead. The reason I wasn’t keen on bringing my 2 modules is that I don’t have anybody to help me load-in, setup or load-out like I did at GTE the last 2 years (Rik will be away and my son is very busy—and tired, with his new born daughter). Thanks.

is a proposed layout plan for the CGCC show. Rod, are you bringing
Brian's and Bob's modules, or your own? Mike, the module with your name
on it is the duckunder. Please let me know if anyone sees any errors or
problems with this (besides having the duckunder next to the 2' corner - we'll clamp
it tightly). If anyone wants to bring modules at the last minute, let me
know and we can work you in. The doors open at 7:00 for setup; the show
runs from 10:00 until 3:00. They typically have the best food of any show
we attend. Geoff

Bringing Brian's and Bob's modules is fine. The diagram has the lift bridge against a 3' corner, so I think that will be ok. I called the college just now and confirmed that the show is on for this Sunday. See some of you then! Geoff ---In AlbanyNTRAK@..., <rmason1@...> wrote : Geoff,
