I can support any DCC operations if there is interest.
I do not have T-Trak modules, so it would be DCC and trains only for me. Matt

Hey Geoff. Been getting good news from my Dr's lately. If you would like me to bring up some modules I should be able to. Same time as last?

Re: New York Central System Historical Convention in Albany
nycrr8
When NYCHS was in Poughkeepsie many years ago, Geoff Dunn set up some NTrak modules in the Hyde Park RR Station (the club that sponsors the Poughkeepsie Model Train Show) along with the club's 8 foot Hyde Park Station modules. I was there to nominally help, but mostly run trains and shoot the breeze. The Hyde Park Station was one of the many sites open for layout tours and open houses on Friday afternoon. Very few people showed up, but we enjoyed running the trains and the fine spring weather on the station's platform by the tracks and Hudson River.
I had wanted to attend one particular lecture (can't remember which one now). When I asked about attending, the response was great, send in your $150 fee. Since that included a banquet that I couldn't attend, I asked if I could pay a reduced fee for one lecture, especially since we had exhibited for one of the open houses/layout tours. Nope. $150 or nothing. No a la carte like the NMRA. I shouldn't be too critical, since it is an all volunteer organization, and running a Convention is a lot of work, but it struck me as not too inviting. So while I was sad to see they won't accept NTrak, they are not flexible. Be well, "John Henry"

Corners
Doug Dederick
Hi Everyone As reported we had a great GTE train show. For the show I picked up one of our 3ft club modules ( I now have both club 3ft corners ) Do to the lack of space in my basement I was hoping someone could store both or at least one of the corners at their house. This would help greatly in keeping my better half happy and as they say “ happy wife happy life” Please contact me if you can help in that quest.
Thanks Doug

GTE
Doug Dederick
This past weekend was the GTE train show where we had a 15X13 foot Ntrak layout. The show was well attended and the setup ran smoothly. Thanks to Matt for being in charge of the DCC setup. Also thanks to Mark, Brian, and Neil for setting up and running trains. I apologize for not be able to spend more time with all of you as I was busy with other things and the day seemed to fly by. All in all it was great to see some of the “old” modules dusted off and running again.
Happy Holidays Everyone

GTE - food, masks, snow
Geoff Dunn
I received this today from the show chair. I don't know what the "food festival" is. Note that there will be some food available at the show (it wasn't a great selection in 2019) and masks are required.
Hello GTE Vendors and Exhibitors! Everything is set for the show this weekend. There's a small chance for snow Saturday night, but no expected accumulation. Otherwise it looks like we're going to have a great show. The food festival and tree lighting are taking place as normal, so there should be plenty of people at the Plaza. There will be a food vendor set up just outside the main doors in the lobby on Sunday, and possibly Saturday during setup as well. Just a reminder - The State of New York is requiring face coverings for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, inside Empire State Plaza at all times. We will have disposable masks available, but if you prefer something more comfortable, please remember to bring it with you. Thanks for your cooperation. See you this weekend! -- James Lauser Chairman, Great Train Extravaganza showchair@...

Ha Ha I know I did what I always do, eat to much! Anyways we have just one week before the GTE show and as show coordinator I would like to have a game plan. 1) Who plans to set up on Saturday? If we could get the layout all set up on Saturday that would be awesome but I know a few of you live more that an hour away. (A ) Give me a time that you can be there and if we can all be there around the same time that would be great. I can be there at anytime 2) Matt is in charge of setting up the DCC system 3) EVERYONE must work on putting in the connecting track sections before you start laying things out on your modules such as buildings and things. CLAMPS Make sure you have them and spares if you can bring them! In preparation please check your modules for any loose connections or broken track or another problems. Once I get a head count for a Saturday set up I will send out more information. Thanks Doug
