Voting for Fatigue Only. Any other setting means you can be diligent in providing coverage for your club and still get randomly screwed.

A new poll has been created:

Should we change the current injury settings from its current setting of "All Injuries and Fatigue" to a lower setting? There are four options or choices. You can discuss these changes first before voting.

1. Keep the current setting of "All Injuries and Fatigue"
2. Change to "Reduced Injuries and Fatigue"
3. Change to "Game Injuries and Fatigue"
4. Change to "Fatigue Only."

Hi Steve,

Unless ten or more members vote for "All Injuries and Fatigue," please hold a run-off vote between the top two finishers in this poll. Otherwise, the will of the league to reduce injuries can be defeated by splitting its vote three ways.

That happened a few years back when a majority voted to expand the league, but since the vote to expand was split between "this year" and "next year," "no expansion" won, but only by a plurality.

Thank you for your consideration.

Tom

If a majority (10 or more) vote to change the current settings to any other setting than a followup poll to determine which setting to apply will be held.

3. Change to "Game Injuries and Fatigue"
4. Change to "Fatigue Only."

Steve, As I understand the game, Choice 2 is only for AIM injuries, not normal injuries.   I would vote for option 3.

Re: ASSL '80: Poll on Injury Settings/Changes #poll, I have a question

Roger Clarke

My question is are the changes for the remainder of this season on or does it start next season.

Myself I think it should be for next season.

Steven Galbraith

Any changes voted on will be immediate and apply for the current season. And they would apply for all future seasons unless we vote to change them later.
So if you want these to apply for next season - or have them considered - then you should vote to maintain the current settings for this year and then propose a change after this year.

ASSL '80: Poll on Injury Settings/Changes #poll

Steven Galbraith

We have 12 votes so far on this (minus mine). Because this is a major change I'd like to get 15 votes at least on this.

Re: ASSL '80: Poll on Injury Settings/Changes #poll

I've already voted and realize that this has already been chimed in on however, I think it would be highly inappropriate to make a major change in-season.  Any change should take effect next year.

I don’t see why the change can’t be immediate. Unless there is a thought that an owner specifically made drafting and trading decisions based on the rule. To me, the in-game injuries are just a spurious bit of noise in the signal of playing the season.

Agreed.  No one plans around this unless they are specifically avoiding J-3 and -4 players which isn’t likely.
